How is "One piece" manga?should I read it?

i made a thread a few weeks ago just like this, and from many peoples opinions, i decided to watch OP. i'm on episode 53 i think? right after Dragon shows up and saves luffy from smoker. Well i don't regret watching it at all, and i have seen Bleach, and OP overpowers it big time. I think OPs drawings are interesting, but either way, its the content that counts, not just the drawings.

A lot of people (me included) have had hangups with the art but it improves. Honestly though, I'm starting to like One Piece better than Naruto, and I think I share that sentiment with quite a few of the people on NB. So yes, I'd say read/watch it. Can't go wrong with either seeing as how there are nowhere near the amount of fillers in OP than in Naruto.

Alot of ppl quit bleach cause of the fillers. fillers arent nothing but unoffical episodes. i find it nice seeing the captians fight. and seeing new people shikais etc



im not talking about the manga. im talkn about suspense wise in the manga
when has op ever made you think? they just dish it out. which lacks charcter development. Bleach dosent just DISH things out. also. when ichigo learns a new move. it dont look the same as his others. and i wake up at 11 just to read naruto in the war now. after that i think about going to sleep but i read bleach since im a big fan even thoe its rather boring atm. then i think...................i honestly dont want to see luffy fight abunch of boring fish...... >___> should i watch it............ then i find myself clicken on the link anyways. fml. but to sum up how i feel. im def not a hater of OP cause op is a good anime to me. just lacks alot of things in my eyes (Funnyness being one of them. xd) and a transparent arc. do something diffrent. also. im not a fan of backstorys WHICH one piece previuosly did for about 10 whoole chapters and that made me lose interest a little bit more. same thing that happens when naruto does it. bleach is understandable cuz i look foward to some bleach flashbacks. i love all the bad guys in OP. unlike the good guys they are interesting. Whitebeard is the most badass besides Kuma. Hawkeyes is epic i just dont like him cause hes lame in my eyes. but he is a good charcter. so my only argument for you to watch one piece is to get to the seriuos stuff. the

im not hatin on op because i used to watch it a little but it got lame quick.

i mean come on, some kid eats a fruit an has powers, it was ight at first but got old fast, but i would still watch it

One Piece has sold 200.000.000 copies of it's manga.
Naruto recently just hit the 100.000.000.
Bleach has 72.000.000.

So One Piece has sold more manga than the those big names together and has by far a bigger fanbase then any manga. And it is obvious that you never watched One Piece past episode 1 if you say that the story isn't better then Bleach.

Let's speak about the manga art.

Bleach is complex and deep. Well heck I guess no backgrounds and having the same faces all around counts as complex, and that trolling everyone and making main characters not appear in hundreds of chapters counts as deep.

Naruto is easy to understand. What makes it easy to understand? The fact that Naruto wants to be Hokage but doesn't right now because he wants to save Sasuke and the world? The fact that Sasuke is plotting revenge against the community that raised him and loved him as their own even when the mastermind is dead already? The fact that Hinata confessed to Naruto, bringing up the subject after hundreds of chapters only to not address the idea from that chapter on?

That's just it bro, I don't understand.

Give me several sites with statistics that show Bleach has more SALES than One Piece.
Viewership =/= Fanbase

I can give you several reasons why One Piece is better than Bleach:

-The sale statistics speak for them selves.
-Bleach has fillers for 6 months, then canon episodes for 3 months and then fillers for 6 months again.
-66% of the series consists of fillers(rough calculation). And those fillers actually suck.
-Very slow progression in terms of the plot.
-Very short manga chapters, more things happen on two pages of One Piece than 17 pages of Bleach.
-Humor sucks in Bleach. I may have chuckled once or twice, but thats it.
-Plot actually sucks.
-The series isn't going anywhere right now, Kubo is just milking it for all its worth.
-Kubo smokes too much pot.
-Series should have ended after Aizen

Cool things about Bleach:
-Nice fights every 100 episodes.
-Nice artstyle

Everyone said everything about how much OP is great and stats prove it by far. Your reasons are awesome Mugi.

Let me elaborate a bit on Naruto and Bleach.
Well, Naruto is deviated from its plot, true but it isn't as clear cut as in the picture.
The plot in Naruto in fact, divided into 2 main themes (The Uchiha backdrop and Hokage Quest). It's like at 1/4 way, it went into two different roads that will cross each other at the end I believe- which is good to me.

As for Bleach, I couldn't agree more. That Bleach fanboy is a bit too blind just like those in the west who knows only one manga.

It has only 3 good points:

- Great fights
- Nice graphics and art style
- Romantic tracks are nice (if there was no fight, it will have turn into a romantic manga).

I'd like to get some stats (if anyone has it, it will be good if you can provide it). That is, by how much (the difference between each year) does the sales increase/decrease for OP, Naruto and Bleach.

I don't know it but I'm pretty sure that Bleach increases at a feverish pace or perhaps even decreased.

That's because Kubo lacks the talent to make a gripping story. The Rukia retrieval arc and its twists were nice but that were it. The Espada disappointed though some good portions were good. The other Arcs are just below downhill. He's just a money-maker. He know that he's not that good at making interesting storylines, so he's just extending a franchise that's lingering just to keep his financial status stable. His story should have ended since long

Actually, if you watch the anime first, you have to spend 20 min watching every single episode. 519 episodes, thats like literally sitting and watching One Piece straight for little over 7 days. (Which isn't as bad as it sounds actually).

However, for the manga, it depends entirely on how fast you can read. It can take you anywhere between 2 days and 5 days to catch up to current chapter.
