How is "One piece" manga?should I read it?

I dont watch it or read it but I heard good things about it but some friends told me that it gets really good after a few hundreds episodes, they told me that at first kinda sucks but it gets better after a lot of episodes.

I feel the same way I hear so many good things about it, but the art style really keeps getting to me.

Every time I try to start reading it the characters with their oddly shaped faces extended noses and arms that look like they suffer from extreme tumors rather then muscle bulk I just can't take it seriously.

It's all just so cartoonie T_T

The director of the anime himself said that he might have cut the laughs and quality of the series in half by not translating the kanji, thus most of the puns are gone.

It's alot of those little things that make One Piece the best.
Instead of putting a lot of effort into the art style, Oda would rather focus on the plot and have like little treats here and there around in the manga. Having Pandaman alone in the manga and anime shows how Oda also includes small stuff in the series.


Heres a very accurate illustration showing how consistent the storyline of One Piece is compared to the two other major mangas. (You can include the anime(with the fillers), which would screw up naruto and bleachs story line even further, while One Piece would remain pretty much the same)

The Scan for the one piece plot thing forgot to add "Dullness" and "BoringNess" everybody screw bleach over. but bleach has a way bigger fanbase then OP. to me. Bleach screws OP over big time. even thoe they should have ended it after aizen. but i look foward to hoping a captian that havent used their bankai to say "BANKAI" like soifon, and Gin. but yeaaa. OP is on the bottom of the list of 4

well! you know what. idk. cause the 1st time i read the manga of naruto is when naruto made his grand entrance vs pein. after i saw that epic page i went all the way back 2 Sauske Vs. Deidra and read up till then. 2 me. its the best

And for ****s sake, it first came out in like 1997 or something, of course its gonna look crappy at first.

when its boring. i say it. and their graphics are just "Diffrent" i shall say. certain things about OP are epic.

Admirals. also they are the only manga that killed off a semi sub main charcter (Whitebeard/Ace) i gave it to them for that. the enel arc was TRASH. i love enel cuz hes my end. but they effed up the faces on them peoples big time. and as of now?! fishmen island is horrible. but i got into one piece when luffy JUST got gear 2nd. took a break. then saw when he JUST got brook on his team. watched that whole thing. then watched him go to sabody. the most epic arc on it. Very emotional. i shedded about 3tears when his team mates got tooken away. sad stuff. everything after that was epic. ..until now

It isn't really a downside if you enjoy every bit of it Lets say you are Luffy, who obviously loves meat, and has a bottomless stomach, and there is a LOT of meat you can eat. Same thing applies here.

well, i gotta say sometimes it was a little over whelming, but maybe it was jus because it was like 330 am and i was tired because when i started reading/watching it i went on like a 7 day marathon of one piece.. jus all day reading and watching.. but it really never gets boring.. jus awesome shit, and the comedy is jus something you dont get with naruto, its really a breath of fresh air, because you also get the intense action you get in naruto. these new chapters with the fishman have a tooon of reading, but its been good as fuk too.. if you like manga you gotta like this..

Nope, its pretty old. And thats why OP is so good, its unique. Most of us think its stupid at first because of the whole "Rubber Pirate kid who likes meat". I thought it was crap at first sight but after seeing Mugi, Cali, and my cousin go on about it, I couldn't stop O_O

I can give you several reasons why One Piece is better than Bleach:

-The sale statistics speak for them selves.
-Bleach has fillers for 6 months, then canon episodes for 3 months and then fillers for 6 months again.
-66% of the series consists of fillers(rough calculation). And those fillers actually suck.
-Very slow progression in terms of the plot.
-Very short manga chapters, more things happen on two pages of One Piece than 17 pages of Bleach.
-Humor sucks in Bleach. I may have chuckled once or twice, but thats it.
-Plot actually sucks.
-The series isn't going anywhere right now, Kubo is just milking it for all its worth.
-Kubo smokes too much pot.
-Series should have ended after Aizen

Cool things about Bleach:
-Nice fights every 100 episodes.
-Nice artstyle

I watched anime and let me tell you it was awesome, I even sung the openings in a point xd, silly me. It's sooo goooood.


But also, the manga is even better, it has the focus right where you want it. The only difference is that the anime may expand some panels, like when they find, for example, serpent currents.

i never read "Naruto" manga. i saw it on toonami. when i was a kid. didnt have a cpu. but i def loved it. cause it was building up

I never had a problem with the art but the way some characters are designed are really ugly to me and don´t make sense at all.
For me, one piece is the kind of series that at 1 arc either it´s really exciting or it´s just boring to the point where it´s not watchable anymore.
I started watching one piece at june and¨right now i´m at thriller bark where my fire got burned out, i´m forcing myself to watch 1 episode every 2-3 days just so i can go through it and get to the next arc.

People complain alot about skypiea but i had no problems with it, it was still good but thriller bark is not watchable.
