How is Minato a bad father?

He is not a bad father , he gave his life to save the village and his son , if he didn't , naruto will have to live without a village and he believed in naruto , i think , what a son expect from a father is to have faith in him .

Lame excuse people use to put Minato down. If you haven't realized, people on this site are crazy good with making up pure bs excuses to knock any character they don't like down.

And if it's no that, they over exaggerate the "bad" things he's done to make him look like he's the worst parent to come out of the series. He did what he had to do before his death, and for 90% of the time following that he was dead. And saying "well he just abandoned Naruto" is even more lame. He saved him, 2 or 3 times in fact before his death. Sure, the Reaper Death Seal may not have been his only choice, but it was his best. To me he's been a pretty damn good dad given what he's done while he's been alive and around.

The kyuubi couldnt be allowed to revive without a host since that would destroy the balance of the bijuus, not to mention it would be revived who knows where and its possible it may have fallen into the hand of the masked man again

This is true. If Kushina had resealed Kurama into herself, she would have lived. Both of them could have continued being Naruto's parents if that happened. But I doubt that he knew that resealing a bijuu into it's jinchurikki would save it. Kurama hated Minato and Kushina, & he just told Gaara, because Naruto is the only host he cares about.

ot: No he wasn't a bad father. He was a well-intentioned person and tried to do his best which is what counts. Besides, you cannot really judge him on being a father, when he was dead since before the series even started.
