It seem that your able to stop the effect of Edo justu if you know the handseal. And sinc ehe know them he doesnt disseaper and stay to fight, and since he's still a edo he has unlimited chakra. So he's stronger than ever now >.<

And also a theory of mine so in the manga we seen durai beat the gold and silver bros. And im pretty sure the 2nd hokage is stronger then durai. So with that being said the reason why madara knows about edo tensei is he helped the gold and silver bros defeat the 2nd hokage and madara was doing research to revive bodies so he got information before he killed him or put him under genjutsu maybe izanami.

haha, you cant compare madara REAL genius and itachi... Madara is true genius as you can see, itachi managed to get out from edo only cuz of SHISUIS eye, he himself has no control/power to break free from edo neva eva hahahaha.

In other words : To stop madara you have to get him under a Genjutsu to force him to do the seals of releasing the Edo tensei.
