I do not know why you would make such a vague assumption when the manga clearly states differently. Hashirama's and Tobirama's hype was always seen as an amazement. There was no retcon, the Edo-Tensei was simply upgraded.

It was later explained that people refused to believe in Hashirama's hype/power and preferred to take it as a myth, thus leaving it all to Hiruzen. Hashirama and Tobirama were always know as The Lords / Shinobi-no-Kami even during Orochimaru's confrontation with Hiruzen. Everything else you've written is either speculation or you attempting to be Masashi:
But please look at what you are saying, PLEASE look at what you are saying.
You are taking that scan from whatever chapter that was almost a decade ago and feeding into my point.
When the Edo Tensei was used there was no "weak" or "strong" Edo Tensei. It was just Shodaime and Nidaime being revived. No one said anything about their strength and at the time it was not being put into question that they were weaker.
And even then they received praise right? But Tobirama wasn't using FTG and Hashirama wasn't using sage mode or anything else, right? Because at the time they were meant to be strong, but not on this level that they are now.
With the part 2 powerscaling, Kishi easily recognized this and came up with a reason for them being weakened. And that is my point.
You try to use explanations inside of the manga to justify your theories and it's nothing wrong with that, but all Im saying to you is that there are real world and in manga explanations for some instances in the manga.
The real world explanation for Shodaime and Nidaime being weaker against Hiruzen was because Kishi introduced them into the story before the prt 2 powerscaling.
The manga explanation was that ET was not mastered at the time.
The real world explanation for Obito not phasing when the Juubi was inside of him, was because he needed to be able to be hit somehow.
The manga explanation is what you and some others are trying to come up with.
OffTopic: I know these discussions get a little heated sometimes, but I do not harbor any bad blood against you or your opinion. Just like talking about Naruto and Naruto related things.
