the fact that he figured out how to beat nagato is more than enough evidence to prove he is a genius.
i wouldnt call that genius. thats deception.itachi is fully aware that he screwd up with sasuke. he knows that he failed which is why he doesnt even want to see sasuke right now. he had plans for sasuke and sasuke threw it in his face.
plus. only a genius can perfectly disguise his true intentions for YEARS without ANYONE finding out the truth. you also gotta give him cred for being able to infiltrate and spy on the akatsuki without them finding out either. that takes some smarts
he didn't transfer any eye techniques to Sasuke!!!
how many times must I tell people this?!!
it was a once off thing.
you mistake itachi for nagato.Only in combat he is a genius other wise he is basically a drooling at the mouth retard. His life chooses are as retarded as they come.
i agree but i think kishi was trying to place in the essence of what makes a ninja with the spy element and secrecy of the story. In real life ninja hardly engaged in battle they were use more as watchers from the in an outside of thing if it was just battles and no spying i think it wouldnt be much of a story of ninjas Anbu Intel!!!!!!I dunno, I don't blame Itachi for his messed up plan, I blame Kishi for trying to make such a convoluted story, I kinda do think half of what he did was like wtf, on one hand he's so amazing he can kill everyone, but then on the other hand, he tells his brother to hate him and basically turns him psycho, and in the end he's a hero.
Truth be told I'dve liked Itachi's character more if he was pure villain, the whole double agent thing seems stupid, but I'm pretty sure alot of the story gets lost in translation, but it all seems pointless, if he was so good, than why didn't you just take out half of the akatsuki and join back with the leaf?
I mean I'm sure anybody below Kisame he could've offed and then just left, but he even helped capture Bijuu, in all actuality that does seem a little dumb, but thats as far as from what I can tell on the whole double agent deal, should anyone know why he did what he did please feel free to fill in the gaps
I sometimes honestly think Kishi is making this up as he goes along, I do not think that when he was doing the original naruto show, half of the plot that is shippuden was even thought of, that's why it sometimes seems like a bunch of little and sometimes big holes in the plot, especially with this uchiha fiasco, you coulda asked him wtf is going on two years ago, and he'dve look at you and shrugged like:shrug:, that's what I thinki agree but i think kishi was trying to place in the essence of what makes a ninja with the spy element and secrecy of the story. Thank youmen u are dam right itachi made bad decisions if he was really that smart he could have come up with something else for sasukexdxdxd
