That's true. But I think it has something to do with Kabuto altering Madara's corpse with Hashirama DNA.

Ehh, the prime is the stage where your body and everything is at its greatest. Hiruzen was revived as an elder because that's the stage in which death took him.

Agreed . Same thing wit minato & tobirama they were revived exactly how they died

Edo Tensei, everything depend on the caster itself.. manga & Orochimaru proof it, 2nd time he revived Hashirama & Tobirama almost at their full power compare to 1st time Oro revived..

Hashirama died young, we have no idea why though. It wasn't from old age. Safe to say it was from a heart attack or something, let's assume he died in his earlies 40s, late 30s.

I say both,
Not old old age
maybe that fight at the valley did a serious number on him
also I thought he died in battle

I think Hashirama did not die young. But still mystery how he was revived in younger state.

Check this page. Seems he had a bonding time with grandaugther tsunade.

BZ was the strongest in the series up until Kaguyas recent revival

After Madara was incapacitated, no person nor army could kill Hashirama besides BZ.

BZ even oneshotted Juubi Jin Madara. Of course he could kill Hashi with ease, and he did.

Until proven to be true, all you have here is speculation. Might wanna add some manga facts to prove this if you believe it.

No, Black Zets was not the strongest but could become under one condition and that is the success of IT. When that took place, he ahd access to all that drained chakra and that made him invincible but otherwise he would have neer had access to so much chakra, never.

Black Zetsu had nothing to do with Hashirama because he got what he needed, that is, Madara mixing the two chakras of Ashura and Indra.
Hashirama must have died after wards due to Old age or some incurable disease. Black Zetsu didn't interfere much otherwise his plan would have had ruined.

Hashirama Senju's death is still a mystery. He clearly died young, based off that Edo Tensei revive you as you died and only exception to this is Madara, and I think I have an idea why. Though I don't think Black Zetsu killed Hashirama.

So you think killing someone cowardly is strength. BZ took Madara out because he had an opportunity. This is why it was called a betrayal - that is Madara did not even expect BZ to come against him. Even Konohamaru would have been able to kill Madara if he had the same opportunity as BZ. Kakashi could have done the same.

Seriously, it irritates to see that some people can use a single action to conlude that someone is the strongest. As long as you hide to do something, you don't have the balls to confronts the real dogs.

Madara tanked night elephant. You saying konohmaru can do something even night elephant can't do, pierce Madara's skin?

STUPID THREAD. Makes no sense at all. Do you really think BZ was strong..? Yeah, in your dreams. Well, my guess is that he has the ability to restrain the movements of his opponents whoever he sticks to, like obito. The reason madara got owned because he used a high amount of chakra on IT or he was exausted from casting it. Dont spout nonsense like BZ was strong, you make it look like my fav characters are weak.

Night Gai did a lot more than penetrate Madara. It destroyed half his body and Madara claimed that it almost killed him. Sasuke's chakra blade cut Madara in half and his normal blade pierced Madara's body like it was butter. Obito pierced Madara's body, and the same did Black Zetsu. Anyone with Black Zetsus chance could have killed Madara. Madara thought that Black Zetsu was on his side and his will, he didn't even bother with watching his back as all his enemies were infront of him. Sakura would have been able to kill Madara from that position, that is if she actually had the guts to use the Kunai this time.

Fact: Edo Tensei revives the person the exact same way they died. Meaning with all their battlegear on, age and memories from the event. The only reason Madara was revived in his prime is because Kabuto did extensive research on Madara's and Hashirama's bodies and experimented. We have that as a clear statement when Madara is revived.

As to how Hashirama could have died, I can say one thing - nobody is immortal and nobody is invincible. That is proven with the death of the Third Raikage. Not: the man took on the 8-tails solo. He is said to have died fighting off an entire enemy army ( I think roughly 20000 enemy shinobi) and after 3 days of non-stop combat, he died.

A possible time-line could be the following:
The Hidden Leaf is created. -> Madara deserts the Hidden Leaf. -> Hashirama attends the first 5-Kage Summit and distributes the tailed beasts among the villages. -> Madara fights Hashirama and is defeated (also killed). -> Hashirama obtains the 9-Tailed beast. -> Marries Mito Uzumaki (who also becomes the first jinchuriki for the 9-tails). -> Has a child (the gender is unknown). -> Randomly fights le' wild Kakuzu. -> Trains Hiruzen. -> Some 18-ish years pass (in order for his child to become of age for marriage) and his child gets married. -> Has a granddaughter named Tsunade. -> Some 5-6 years later he dies in one of the many wars. -> Tobirama becomes Hokage.

Here is where it gets interesting. The exact age of Hashirama is a mystery. He could be 30 years old when he does, or 40 but not older than 50. Let's assume he is 20 years when he founds the Hidden Leaf. He then kills Madara and obtains the Kyuubi. Let's say this all happened in a span of 2-3 years. After Madara's 'death', Hashirama is 23. He marries Mito and has a child. He is now roughly 24. After some 18 years his child marries (best case scenario) and has a child of his own - namely Tsunade. Hashirama is 42-43. Another 5 years pass for Tsunade to grow and he is now roughly 47 years old. He then dies in a battle. However..

It is shown that after his death Tobirama becomes Hokage. As his brother, he should be roughly the same age as Hashirama - best case scenario 2-3 years younger. So later on Tobirama sacrifices himself so his team can escape. In his team we note Danzo Shimura and Hiruzen Sarutobi. Hiruzen becomes Hokage. Some time afterwards we can see Orochimaru, Jiraiya and Tsunade taking the all-too-familiar bell test. Let's assume Tsunade is roughly the same age as when Naruto and co. took the test - 13 or 14. Best case scenario 8 years have passed since Hashirama died. Which would bring Tobirama to be somewhere near his fifties at the time of his demise (considering Hiruzen had 2-3 years as Kage before taking up the Sannin. Which, in my opinion, is kind of confusing, since they both look quite young when resurrected.

One possible solution to this would be that Tobirama became Hokage way before Hashirama died. This would mean that they bouth could have died in the same time period or even the same war. Let's say After the birth of his Granddaughter, Hashirama gives the title of Hokage to Tobirama. This means that in 5 years time he would meet his demise, and soon afterwards Tobirama would follow.

This is the best I could come up with. If anyone else has any ideas, share.

harishimas death is definitely shrouded in some mystery, i think the biggest clue we have to finding out when it happened was the fact that whenever harishima died, is when madara obtained the rinnegan, because full ashura and indra chakra was needed to create hago chakra, so we don't know how he died, but based off of the fact that madara was old when he got the rinnegan, i would say its safe to assume harishima died of old age
