Your reading comprehension is quite low to be honest. The event of Izanami is creating loop of reality. Both Itachi and Kabuto has to play a real part of the loop until Itachi cast Izanami by touching Kabuto head to replay the loop.

Likely the enhanced sensory prowess the user obtains which can allow them to detect when a genjutsu is being used before it's applied and the enhanced chakra control could allow them to apply more chakra to break free of it.

I don't buy the argument that Natural Energy acts as an outside energy source as it's already in his body and so he's no longer drawing in any more Natural Energy.

Yes it does...genjutsu can't go back in time to when the user wasn't in SM and couldn't sense it coming...

I mean having fully master SM not just the transformation. Even the 4th hokage perfected the transformation yet stated he wasn't very good at it.

I don't see anybody fulling mastering a jutsu they just learn. He gain SM right before the war. He even forgot SM gives him horns and he forgot to take that into account when he was dodged Itachi's attack -

This is why i told you have poor reading comprehension. The moment Itachi turn into crows is also the time he cast Izanami by touching Kabuto head, a direct genjutsu chakra channelled to Kabuto's brain nerve to start the loop. As you saw a vision from Kabuto the moment he keeps fighting after the crows and another reality vision when Itachi touching Kabuto head and talk to Sasuke in same time.
It has already explained that A is what actually happened and A' is the loop. There is no reason to grab Kabuto head like that by ur logic if he already cast it without touching Kabuto head.
The only logic behind is that Izanami activate by create A and then find a right moment in A to start A'. Genjutsu still needs to channel chakra to opponent center of nerves to control their action - this is undebatable fact. Since Itachi cant channel chakra from his eyes to the opponents eye he used his hand instead as the manga fact. The only time when they are so close is also the opportunity for Itachi to grab Kabuto head to channel chakra and activate the loop A'.

No it's just the fact I haven't seen anything to support him mastering SM. Like I said perfecting the transformation doesn't' make you a master at SM it just mean he perfected the transformation.

Especially when he consider the fact he had to use Juugo's cell to gain SM.
