I don't understand the colors
when Gai was v Kisame and did 7th gate, Kisame said it was green, green beast yadda yadda.

Im kinda dissapointed we dont have gold steam for reference reasons, but I guess the 8th gate having red steam is logical, muscles tearing themselves apart and blood mixing with chakra overflow, kaioken, can't really depict gold in manga scans XD
now granted there could have been a translation error, blue/green can be written similarly but still. should have been a global acceptance of a single color to keep my curiosity at bay.
I'm not sayin Senju have instant access to everything. Things can take years to learn. I'm saying that there isn't a lock or requirement you have I fullfill before granting access to the power. No matter how strong an Uchiha is, if he doesn't fullfill the requirements for MS, he isn't getting it
MS was apparently common enough for a calamity to gain EMS was caused. I think MS was more common than what was let on. Heck, there was even a sort of system describing what types of MS are in existence. Susanoo is a rare power, indicating that there are common MS powers. The knowledge that Sasuke's straight comma is best for movement, ect.
It's possible, but the manga hasn't shown us how common it used to be. From what I remember, the Uchiha knew about the MS (by killing close friends) but they all failed because that was not the trick to activating MS. So even though they knew about MS, doesn't mean they were able to attain it. Madara knows most about it due to te Uchiha tablet and living for such a long time. He's like a damn encyclopedia on everything haha. Unless the manaa makes it clear that MS was in abundance, then we have to assume it was incredibly rare (like the managa states).
