howd you know it doesn't hurt maybe the fact that people die in there sleep its because of the immense pain that it is causing them that made them die

How would you know it would happen like that?

I'll reiterate. My understanding of people dying in their sleep is that, when they're old and a lot of their body has naturally began to slow down, while they're asleep (which is believed to be a persons closests state to death) they're body is relaxed naturally. When a person is old and they're body and organs are already slowed down, in that relaxed state one's body would just give out without any warning.

Now while one is asleep they're unconscious and I assume after one's heart, lungs, stop, death is rather quick and if not I don't think it would be an intense pain that would cause them to feel it in their unconscious state, which is why most think it's a peaceful death to die of old age in their sleep.

Now that's what I believe the general understanding is. Correct me if you find proof that I'm wrong but that's my understanding of the logic behind death of old age in one's sleep, peaceful for the most part.
