**** Danzo. Shisui was so badass. That being said, I like the way this scene was done..it shows that one on one Shisui would win but Danzo unfairly used Izanagi, which Shisui would definitely never expect.
A Shisui/Itachi duo would destroy!

When I saw this I said..... Why didn't Shisui go to Hiruzen!? He'd have put Danzo in his place......

Of course, he had alot of potential, he was only 13 and look how OP he was.

I was kind of disappointed in how easily Shisui was defeated, but then again Danzo is actually a fairly strong guy with tons of experience so it's not as bad. Shisui probably didn't even want to fight him out of respect, that's why he said "forgive me" when he had to put him under genjutsu.
And the reason Danzo used Izanagi is because that eye was going blind anyway. Recall the episode where he sent Yamato to go after Kakashi to steal his eye.

Even if we put Izanagi aside, the surprise factor still stays there. Shisui had no idea of Danzo having a Sharingan, nor did he know that there were root members around, preparing to catch him.
Anyway, Pierrot had to show us the scene of Danzo stealing Shisui's eye and that's what they came up with... we can't say Shisui didn't live up to the expectations with that little scene, where Danzo clearly had an advantage.
The animation of that little fight looks amazing btw.

It's Danzo, of course he would destroy the Uchiha. Sadly it's filler, I would love it if this was made cannon somehow.
Honestly, i don't understand what the fuss is all about. Everybody knew Danzo stole Shisui's eye since chapter four hundred something.
I don't quite understand what you mean by hype? I'll just say i feel the same about him since he wasn't even a side character to begin with.

Shisui took that shit like a "G".
Eye ripped out, jumped by Danzo's men.
Still loved konoha enough not to fk Danzo up with a KA, and fodderize root.
He saw the bigger picture and trusted Itachi with the fate of his eye and the village to do what was necessary.

Danzo got fodderized by a fodder sharingan genjutsu... had to resort to using izanagi. Shisui had no intent to battle danzo and his men anyways..... Danzo is still cool tho

Danzo handled that fight, if you can call it that, like a boss.
Shisui is fodder with just ideals you wanted to sympathize with. Silly mortals.
I'll respect Sasuke for giving him the hands. The surprise factor was there for that fight too.
