**** Danzo. Shisui was so badass. That being said, I like the way this scene was done..it shows that one on one Shisui would win but Danzo unfairly used Izanagi, which Shisui would definitely never expect.

A Shisui/Itachi duo would destroy!

Who's to say the only reason he used Izanagi was to prepare for the other eye? He's not supposse to have it, so what better way to get rid of it then making it blind?

I was kind of disappointed in how easily Shisui was defeated, but then again Danzo is actually a fairly strong guy with tons of experience so it's not as bad. Shisui probably didn't even want to fight him out of respect, that's why he said "forgive me" when he had to put him under genjutsu.

And the reason Danzo used Izanagi is because that eye was going blind anyway. Recall the episode where he sent Yamato to go after Kakashi to steal his eye.

Even if we put Izanagi aside, the surprise factor still stays there. Shisui had no idea of Danzo having a Sharingan, nor did he know that there were root members around, preparing to catch him.
Anyway, Pierrot had to show us the scene of Danzo stealing Shisui's eye and that's what they came up with... we can't say Shisui didn't live up to the expectations with that little scene, where Danzo clearly had an advantage.

The animation of that little fight looks amazing btw.
