[Discussion] How do you feel about being rejected by someone in terms of love?

Everyone how do you all feel about being rejected by someone even though you are nice to them and pour your heart out to them?
-Do you think it is unfair?
-Do you think it can't be helped because love doesn't always mean that someone is going to date you because you are nice?
-Do you think it is flawed logic that someone thinks that someone should date a person only because they are nice? For example:If you are a heterosexual.You were rejected by someone you liked and you were upset because you were nice and cared for this person.Later someone of the same *** confessed to liking you but you rejected them (even though they are nice )because you are heterosexual.
-Do you think it's okay to wish that person the worst for rejecting you?
-Do you wish that person the best?
-If you are okay with answering these questions: Have you ever been rejected by someone you really cared for? How did you take it? Are you still close to that person?

I'm just curious on people's inputs on this topic. I'm going to stay neutral in this topic(I'm still going to like everyone's comment because I'm thankful for the inputs. ) because I'm rather interested it how you all feel about it?

Absolutely. Nobody owes you anything for being nice. It's up to you alone.

No, it's sick. If you truly like or even love somebody, you want them to be happy. Wishing them the worst means that it is anything but love.

It hasn't happened to me in a very long time as I'm in a very long term relationship (married now), but I don't think I cared much back when it happened. The best idea is to just move on lmao.

Not in romantic relationships, at least I don't remember such thing. I have been rejected by my half siblings at some point, though, despite caring for them a lot. We've settled it, though. Yes, I am.

Don't know. Have never really been rejected. Probably be neutral

I was never in a relation with this girl but we were close and even made out and shit. And well she kinda became what you would call a **** so I don't really care about her tbh.

No. Why would it be unfair? It's just how someone else feels, you can't expect to get affection returned, nor do you have a "right" to get it returned.

Being nice doesn't equally mean that you have a right to "be dated" or something. If the feelings for each other work out, fine. If not, fine as well. It's just how it is.

Yes. Thinking that a person is really nice =/= having romantic feelings for this person.

No, but I did it anyway. Not for the rejection tho, but for the way the person treated me, luring me with lies and promises, but then dropping me like a hot potato with the impudence to ask me if we could just stay friends. The person is dead for me since then.
