How Did You Feel About Obito's Story/Motives?

How do you feel about Obito's story and motives?

Do you think his story was well written or was it bad? Did his reasons make sense? What would you have done differently? Please explain.

Obito was the one who did the Nine Tails Attack On Konoha, Indirectly killed Minato and Kushina, Pointed suspiscion on the Uchihas for Nine Tails attack, which in turn led to Uchiha Rebellion, Helped Itachi in massacaring Uchiha Clan, Indirectly corrupted Nagato, and started the Fourth Shinobi World War. You remove Obito, and there is no Plot, no story.

Rin was central to the characters of Kakashi and Obito. In spite of the stale Lesbito and Pedobito jokes, Obito loved Rin dearly and Kakashi indirectly killing Rin is what made Obito evil in the first place.

The direct reasoning of this is Obito's insanity caused by Rin's death. Obito was 13-15 years old at that time. An emotional upheaval at such a young age would drive anyone insane.

His obsession over Rin is an attempt to fill up the Hole in his heart created by the Loss of Rin and to undo all the evils in the world.

I would have liked to see more of how his time as Madara affected his perception as he described to Kakashi and Minato after being defeated but otherwise I wouldn't have changed anything I think his character is quite integrating just he could have been elaborated on and explored further with a longer flashback. It's well know that many parts of the war were rushed or condensed.

As far as the manga goes, Obito is hinted to be an orphan. So, he had no emotional connections to his family. His relationship with Minato was wonky (Which became worse over time); Kakashi was a like a sore thumb. The only one who cared for Obito at that point was Rin. This solidified the emotional connection that Obito had with Rin.

Before his near death incident, Obito finally accepted Kakashi as a friend, but this dissolved when he saw him stabbing Rin through the chest.

The stabbing incident was way too sudden (At Least from Obito's perspective) and he would have immediately gone insane. He did go insane and launched a mad attack on the Mist Ninjas and massacred them all. The flow of Blood, The loss of a loved one, your Best Friend (Kakashi) breaking your promise, Killing people without mercy are enough to make anyone insane. (If you put yourself in such a situation and don't go insane, you are not a human being).

Moving on, Obito did show a lot of courage to walk back to Madara and try to create a perfect Dream World. He realized over time that the Villages were heavily involved in the Rin Incident (Though in reality Madara manipulated them) which made him harbor hate against the villages.

The incident happened to Obito at a very young age (It's admirable that Obito kept his cool) and created a Hole in his heart, i.e; a emotional scar. This hole was filled by Naruto as he was able to accept Death and look beyond it. Obito never realized that Death is not the end, it's a new beginning.

Does all these points show Obito having Weak Motives ? Does it show Obito being a Pedo ?

Well if you think so, I suggest you to re-read the manga and take some moral lessons.
