How Did You Feel About Obito's Story/Motives?

I did like him, mostly during his "Madara" stage. The Rin thing was just a bit overdone though, should have put more emphasis on other reasons.

I am going with Neutral !! I Hate Obito as a character but there are truth cannot be denied .

Obito is epitome of human weakness to me he was Good person fallen to dark side . He was flawed it just shows how good and innocent person can be emotionally manipulated and choose to be evil .

I recognize his personality to Michael corleone of Godfather remember he was just a young navy guy want to serve his country in World war 2 to avoid his father's business ultimately he fell bad and took his ideologue deep enough to even finish off his older brother if necessary .

Obito took his ideologue way bit too far , he hardly bothered about his sensei ,his best friend and his Uchiha cousins . He became a hardcore rebel . This suggest to me Madara saw obito as emotional child who cared about his village and needed few few steps to make his ideologue fall .

As the development progressed i ceased myself liking his character when kishi overused his past . The point of his hardcore idelogoues was to show he was opposite of naruto . Overuse of Rin drama gave me distaste i would have liked if Obito died with his own ideleoges instead of getting Talk no Jutsu from Naruto . He was a villain , bipolar character should have never turned good . Though this is my opinion .

It seems Kishimoto wants to see good in every human . There are people who are not worth given emphasized . My Example of Joseph Stalin , Adolf Hitler and bin Laden . So i tend to disagree kishi on this some people are not worth forgiving it is like accepting Lord Voldemort was savior of Harry potter Novel .

I sometime overlook about Naruto . In the end it is a shonen manga !! I wanted obito to stick to his ideologue just like Harvey Dent's Two face . In realist world it is impossible for a hardcore Terrorist becoming innocent child . He already made his contract with blood . He killed people !!

People don't change they become more ruthless and their stubborn towards their ideologue never wavers . If Obito had died as a bad person , he would have been greatest Villain character in Shonen Manga !! Obvious Kishi's Talk no jutsu made the day .

Rin was a trigger to the Obito's good side .

Bad Side : Kishi overused it to make Obito good boy in the end .

Rin's story should have finished there and then !! It was repeated with to many flashback which did not suit with Obito as a bad guy.

yes it was to humanize tobito instead of being some guy being evil.

rin was his iruka, the only person who aknowledfed him. she was part of his identity and when he lost that he became an empty shell who started seeing the world for what it was. trash she was the balance between the yin and yang of their team and when it was thrown off obito got lost and started fighting kakashi. its important to show bc of how people can change. like when falling victim to brainwashing

Its not that people hate Rin. People just hate the way she was used in Obito's story.

Obito wasn't a crazy muslim terrorist like Hidan, he just thought the world was hopeless and Naruto convinced him it wasn't. Yes he was crazy and wrong, duh, Kakashi dealt with more and still kept his cool, but that's why he's a villain he saw things a different way, a way that conflicted with the more reasonable protagonists. Is the Joker from Batman "right" to think the world is a big joke? Nah not really, but that's why he's a villain because his views contradict the protagonist's. Obito wasn't "wrong" that things were unfair and the world was broken and in a state of perpetual war and hatred, but instead of trying to get the military heads of the world to cooperate and form a stable alliance he decided to go for a more fail safe method which would forcefully make the world "right". He was crazy and wanted something quite obviously non ideal to anyone who values their free will, but his character still made sense and made for a good villain and adversary to Naruto that he was able to change the mind of by getting him to acknowledge what he used to be was better than what he became. Obito WAS gullible and pathetic, there is no question, he was intended to be and thus became a subject of ridicule and humiliation for Madara and Black Zetsu, but he was still a good character for the role he played.
