how did you come to know about naruto series

It was through anime, I didn't even know what manga was before I started reading Naruto manga.

A looooong time ago, I bought my first Shonen Jump after watching an ad for it on a Yugioh DVD. Inside was the first chapters of Naruto I ever read, where Kabuto gets attacked by the Sound Ninja at the Chunin exams.

I was at my mates house and he was watching the Sasuke vs Itachi fight. After that I watched all the episodes and started to read the manga.

The summer before the dub started, Cartoon Network was really hyping it up a lot. The commercials gave me a really different idea of what the series would be like, but it was enough to catch my interest. I watched the first episode when it premiered that September and was immediately hooked.

At the time, I read the first 10 volumes through checking them out of the library/buying at a bookstore what they didn't have, but then I stayed strictly to the anime until I dropped it after the Sasuke and Sai arc. Only got back into it and caught up by reading all of the manga at the time last February.

I read about these supposedly cool Japanese shows in an issue of Nintendo Official Magazine....and then I happens to catch an episode on Cartoon network...the one in which Naruto goes nine tails on Haku.....that was back in 2005 or 2006 I guess.....man, the land of the waves arc, then the Chunin exams.... Those were the days *sigh* Life was beautiful.....

surprisingly, i was introduced to naruto not by anime or manga but by a chapter book. my mom brought the naruto chapter book series (yes, it is written in chapter books). then in the library i saw the graphic novel volume 48 and i started by manga. my friend later told me it was also an anime!

I found out about Naruto many years ago where my classmates (in primary school) were arguing on who would win in a fight, Goku or Naruto. When I first saw Naruto, I saw him as some cheap knock-off Goku copycat wearing Orange Pyjamas. I immediately hated him and the series after seeing a few clips on him and one episode on Toonami (where there was very slow progression and a lot of talking).

However, years later, I came across my cousin playing 'Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm' and I got intrigued by the abilities and other characters in the series (not Naruto). In August 2011, I started my Naruto Marathon of all 220 episodes (including the fillers). I started shippuden soon after but skipped the fillers.

Overall, I'm really glad I discovered Naruto, it's a really interesting and compelling series. It Also helped me Discover One Piece (As one of my Favs).
