How did Uchiha Itachi gain Mangekyo Sharingan ?

U know when Uchiha Shisui died they (the Konoha police force)suspected Uchiha Itachi? But Uchiha Itachi never killed him

chapter 550 page 11 (i cant post pictures cuz im new here)

here Itachi says uchiha shisui gave him one of his eyes trustiing him 2 protect it, and then shisui died silently to prevent conflicts over his eyes

So if Itachi didnt kill his true friend then how did he activate his mangekyo
cuz to activate a mangekyo u must kill your true/best friend

I think its the death of the one closet to you that activates MS.

-Shisui died thus giving Itachi MS
-Itachi died thus giving Sasuke MS
-Kakashi realized how close Obito was to him and his lose granted him MS (Just a guess)

most probably as danzo is the one that always wanted shishui's eyes, he could have wounded him real bad and then itachi could have gone there and found shishui in an almost dead state and then shishui could have asked itachi to kill him there so that he could awaken the mangekyou and then gave him his eye to safeguard.

itachi could not have got his ms from the uchiha slaughter because he had it b4 then and sasuke seen it that why he asked his dad if there was a level beyond the sharingan and his dad tol him yes the magekyo sharingan but it can only be called forward under ver specific circumstances he never said what they were but it proves itachi already had it b4 that day the slaughter happened

itachi's is like a few of you all said, its from enduring so much pain, especially killing his own clan gave him power, along with shisui dying in front of his eyes.

remember madara and izuna both had ms, but the question is how did they unlock it?

Ah. lol. You're right. That's why Mangekyou Sharingan was brought up in the first place. Then i suspect he achieved them after Shishui's death....realizing he wasnt going to see him again.

Intense grief and sorrow or a great emotional event, such as the death of a friend, sibling, etc., can awaken the MS. Kakashi may have awakened it when Rin died, if that happened and he witnessed it or found out about it.

He wiped out his entire clan including his mom and dad. Further Itachi also said that he helped Shisui to accomplish it (Shisui's death). So what more you want to awake the MS.?
