Well if your familiar with fire, then you should know it doesnt exactly burn a tree right away, it takes some time, and it was tobi who had control of the kyubi, I don't remember but I don't recall anyone says madara also did this.

Maybe equal in skill, but maybe not equal in intelligence. Looking at the way Madara fights the 5 kages, he looks pretty intelligent. I cannot confirm this because I have not seen the 1st Hokage fight in battle. I would be glad if you correct, just dont hate on me!!

hahaha it one of those fanboys cant stand when his precious madara sucks compared to the protagnists hashi fire < wood Water+earth = wood water < fire therefore wood< fire dumb fuq learn a lil about the element chart in naruto madara had nothing on hashi

Fanboy hype of Hashirama has gone to the extreme. He is now one of the most overrated people on this forum.
It isn't just about his abilities not being good counters for the EMS (which they are not), but also his skills. In the battle against Hiruzen we saw his taijutsu level and speed. I know Oro was controlling him, but his taijutsu, strength, and speed would not be changed at all. That means Hashirama was fairly slow and only passable at taijutsu.
His only counter to Madara's genjutsu (Madara's genjutsu hype is ridiculous) is to use Bringer of Darkness, which is a visual genjutsu as well, so that means that he would be vulnerable to genjutsu if he tried to use it.
Hashirama in a fight against Madara would only stand a chance if he kept his distance. Up close Madara embarrasses Hashirama.
Also just so everyone knows, Mokuton is a jutsu specifically for suppressing tailed beasts. The manga also says that Hashirama gainex control of the 9-tails during that fight and we all know how much the 9-tails hates Madara.
Anyway the manga says that Hashirama gained control of the fox and that Mito Uzumaki sealed it into herself to better aid him. What was Mito doing there in the first place? Why was she there at that battle? Either the 9-tails was helping Hashirama in that fight, or Mito was, or both, but he did not fight Madara alone.
It started off with Madara having the 9-tails, but bringing Kurama to that battle probably hurt his chances even more as it was later used against him.

If Madara had rinnegan, he would have won no doubt...but now, with his wood element jutsu, even so6p cannot face him, thats reality

Only the first healing tech is enough to outdo whatever jutsu Madara uses and mokuton also has a great defense.

you're probably saying this because you seen Edo Madara. But before when he fought hashirama he 1. didn't have rinnegan or hashirama cells. 2. he couldn't just spam EMS Techniques it would waste big amounts of chakra. 3. His fire style probably also raped his chakra. 4. he did have the nine tails but at the same time Hashirama knew many many many Uzumaki Clan Seals.
i mean i wish Madara would of won, he's my favorite character. he just wasn't beast enough.:shrug:

madara is real winner after all.. well hes plan was perfect until nagato used resurrection technique to konoha people instead of madara.. that failed. but madara alive ( edo, no matter) 1'st not..

Hashirama did use Mokuton a lot right? Lol But maybe he also had Doton (Earth) and Suiton (Water) He may have used water jutsu to battle the fire. Or perhaps he channeled chakra into the wood to make it resistant to fire. I could see how Hashirama was able to defeat the Kyuubi though. This man had all the Bijuu under his control it doesn't seem difficult for someone like him to subdue one Bijuu. A little wood restraining and some sealing techniques would do the trick.

Nobody knows yet but Hashirama > Madara and that's that but right now we know more about Madara's justsus and not much about Hashirama's.
