How did Madara obtain the Meteor?

The Meteor Technique is Madara's variation of Chibaku Tensei which is a Rinnegan technique and because they seem really alike, you would assume that its a Rinnegan technique. Also, the manga has never shown EMS Madara using the Meteor Technique especially in his fight against Hashirama.

You're mostly correct. However, Shattered Heaven is a Hybrid Jutsu that only Madara can contol. It is a jutsu used by those who have the Rinnegan AND the Mangekyou's Susano'o. If you noticed, Madara uses Susano'o to weave 2 different handsigns while he himself weaves one as well. In addition, he uses Universal Pull (not Planetary Devastation) to grasp the meteor from space. The handseals are most likely used to augment the chakra flow and gravitational range and control. With this extra control, he can most likely control the size of the meteor (notice the second was slightly larger than the first) the speed of the fall (I would assume that the second also traveled a bit faster than the first as it appeared a bit more suddenly and exploded with a bit more force than a normal astroid would), and the direction of travel in which the meteor takes in route to its target.

And I don't see why some think that Planetary Devastation (Chibaku Tensei) is used. Although these celestial bodies are fully formed at the time of entering the atmosphere and has a resemblance to the calestial bodies that Nagato created. However if you remember, Nagato had to create within his hands a small black hole that ripped all sorts of materials from the earth's crust. Madara for one never created the black hole. And if he somehow (on some bullsh*t) created one in space (which would be HAXED AS F**K), A meteorite slamming into it would destroy it in an instant. I believe that he used Universal Pull (Banshou Tenin'n) to grasp a preexisting meteor from space and pull it into earth's atmosphere
