Kakuzu directly states in the manga that the reason he has lived as long as he has is because he can replace hearts before they stop beating and die. A person who dies of natural heart failure usually makes it to at least 70. We can say that Kakuzu is around the same age as Hashirama and Madara, likely 100+. We can also say that his ability to stay alive might be comparable to Madara's as Madara said he'd die if he wasn't connected to the Mazou. Yet.... Madara certainly looked to be over 100 sixteen years ago, but Kakuzu does not look nearly that age now.
So what's the consensus? Does Kakuzu's body age slower since he can maintain more hearts? Did his body freeze-frame when he learned this forbidden tech, considering his body was altered (comparable to Sasori turning into a puppet)? Or is it a decent oversight on Kishi's part? Please share you thoughts and thanks for reading as always.
