but gedo mazo was handed down by madara to tobi as it was madara's rinnegan. also madara's sussanoo seems strong enuff to fight against gedo mazo.
plus he doesnt really control the bijuu....the edo jinchuuriki were also reanimated by kabuto.
(the time he really controlled bijuu was when he had 9 tails attck the konoha.)
so ems madara is on par or even stronger than tobi
well s/t may be a factor....but madara may figure out that as well.

listen, if hashirama can create A MOTHER ****ING DRAGON with some random mokuton (the dragon isn't even a ****ing summoning jutsu, it's just some animal made by his wood) if his wood can create animals, what can he NOT make? he can make forests, branches 5 times the size of an average house if not bigger, he can change the battlefield to his advantage in a instant, his strength is ATLEAST twice as powerful as tsunade and his healing is by now the best, no other ninja as of now has better healing jutsus then hashirama.
remember, this wood dragon is just one of his HUNDREDS MAYBE THOUSANDS of mokuton jutsus, then add a bunch of forbidden jutsus and what else does that mofo has + will of fire, this creates the strongest mofo ever

It must've had something to do with the fact that Shodai could heal his wounds whenever he wanted with no hand seals.. Madara could not.

Let me try to make this clear. Edo-tensi is indeed kabutos power, but the ninjas he are controling are in a rank themselfs, it dosn't count for that as his own power, its the dead ninjas power.... if kabuto can get beat up and lose against saskue and itachi, then he isn't the strongest ninja in the world.... no edo-tensi army isn't his own... its just some dead bodys that he took for his own, so please stop. Edo-tensi is simply a justu that revives dead people and control them, nothing special, just the ninja who get revived have their OWN power, its not his but he can control it, it dosn't count dude. Obito? Lol... again, most of the time he was just using his Kamui 99.9% of the time, and the 1% was just like normal hand to hand combat with the combitnation of kamui. Also when he 'fought' naruto, he din't until the tailed beasts he was controling attacked them, naruto stoped them, THEN he fought obito, and it din't last that long did it? You people have to remember, control dosn't equal their own power..... its called USING POWER, not the ownership of it..... so it dosn't count... You also have to remember that obito din't even use his rinnegan yet, so why did he implanted in him if he isn't going to use it anyways? These guys are not the best of the best. Don't get me wrong, they are boss, and they can be in the 10 ten strongest sure, but defently not 1 or 2nd.... I would lower naruto a bit more in the ranking, considering if he can't even beat madara, then he might be in the top 5, but not like in the 3rd rank there dude. Also if you considering obito - gedo mazo as his own power.... your very wrong.... that, again, is a browed power, not their own. Remember.... control dosn't meen to own...

At the time Madara did not posses his wood style techniques nor his rinnegan. He acquired them after his confrontation with hashirama. He had EMS and the kyubbi but hashirama used his wood style dragon to surpress the kyubbi and a contract seal to break it out of madaras possesion.
if hashirama could beat ems madara n kyuubi at the same time he should 've been the top shinobi after so6p...
how many current shinobi/ninjas can do that do u think?
if they cant how come bm naruto or sasuke or even kabuto or nagato r in hierarchy than hashi???
it seems to me every list of powerful ninja should hav hashi at 1st rank.
