How come Kaguya didn't have the Tenseigan?

She should have had the Tenseigan at one point but I guess she preferred to use the Byakugan. She is the ancestor of all Dojutsu but it is weird why she didn't use the Tenseigan to battle RSM Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke.

I can understand that. Because she got the rinne sharingan after eating the fruit. That passed down into Hago and caused a water down rinnegan.

But the Tenseigan is a exclusive Dojutsu to the Ōtsutsuki clan. It is like Super sayian 2 to them. I guess Hamura wasn't no slouch and surpassed his mother on Otsutsuki side.

Probably just a mutation.Tenseigan is below her anyway, since all of her techniques are the original ninjutsu - Kekkei Mōra. Tenseigan is only Kekkei Genkai, a weaker offshoot.

It belonged to the Otsutsuki clan, they sealed their eyes for the power of the Tenseigen. Think back to why Toneri's eyes were black in the first place. They explained it in the movie (I watched it a couple times for the history fluff on the Otsutsuki clan)
