Well, I don't look at porn, rofl...but there's plenty of other stuff that I look at that my parents don't need to know about......O_O
I dunno about what youre' saying...he turns off the computer/make it go on stand-by/ or just turn off the moniter? O_O
For me, I usually just open a word document or something and alt+tab, or I turn off the moniter at a fast pace...but even if you do make the screen turn blank and you're sitting in front of it, won't the parent suspect something? ~_~

The problem is that i stay awake to the morning and my parents can see the lights coming from my room from the PC when they go to the bathroom, i want something like a shortcut exp like a Black Screensaver to just make the room darker so that they wont notice me awake, and i dont mean sleep, stanyby mode.

Here is one way to do it.

Part 1: Locate Screen Saver Files
1. Click "Start" and then click "Search" to open the "Search" window.

2. In the "Search Companion" area, click "All Files and folders".

3. Click the "More advanced options" arrow.

4. Ensure that there are ticks in the "Search system folders" and the "Search sub-folders" check boxes.

5. In the field labelled "All or part of the file name:" enter *.scr

6. In the drop-down list labelled "Look in:", choose the drive where system folders are likely to be stored (probably the "C" drive"). Your search should look like the screenshot shown below.

7. Click the "Search button" to begin searching for screensaver files.

8. When the search is completed, a list of available screen saver files should be displayed in the search window.

You must be registered for see images

Part 2: Create a screensaver shortcut

1. Choose the screen saver you wish to use. You can double-click on a file to view a preview of the screen saver.

2. Right-click the chosen file and select "Send To" in the context menu.

3. In the "Send To" sub-menu, click "Desktop (create shortcut).

A shortcut icon for your chosen screen saver should now be displayed on the Windows XP desktop. Double-click on this icon any time you wish to activate your screensaver.

If you like, you can even create several screen saver shortcuts on the desktop so that you have a range of instant screen savers to choose from.

Notes:
You may be able to locate suitable screen saver files more quickly by using advanced search options or navigating directly to the files within Windows Explorer.

Activating an instant screen saver via a desktop shortcut will not change the default screen saver you have set in Display Properties. If you have not activated an instant screen saver via a shortcut, the default screen saver will still activate automatically after the amount of idle time specified in Display Properties.

Instant screen savers will not request a password on resume even if you have your normal screen saver configured to require a password in Display Properties.
Here is one more easy way.
First you will have to create shortcut.
-->For that press right click on empty desktop.
-->Go to New->Shortcut(Usually 2nd option)
-->Thenit will ask for file location.
-->Go to:-C:\WINDOWS\system32
-->select "scrnsave.scr"(Which is file for back screen saver).
-->And finish that wizard after entering title.
-->Now go to Properties of newly created shortcut.
-->Go to shortcut tab and you will find textbox for Shortcut Key.
-->Choose whatever you want and u r done.

Hope this helps.

Get one of those, place it near your keyboard, connect it into the wall, and connect your computer screen power cable into it, and with one click of a button, your computer screen is off, or you could just click on the computer screen ON/OFF button, or move out of the house :D

alt+f4 doesnt shut down you d***, and alt+tab doesnt hide it either, so theres a flaw in your plan, or actually two.

just press sleep or just press the button to the monitor that shuts it off o_O well this is a great trick if u dont want your parents to see light coming from the door in your room then put a long piece of fabric under your door so that it blocks the light going to the other side u see that a lot on the movies

If your moniter has buttons on it, well press menu (or whatever) then it will have brightness and contrast just decrease it and you get it darkened very easily

a lot of em rent one ;)

How do you expect a full-time student to work, get a normal salary, which would allow him or her to cover the rent, water, electricity, heating expenses and still have some money left for living?

I don't know where have you seen lots of 20-22 year old people who are living alone, but most of them have been provided with an appartment/house by their parents/relatives; like in my case.

That, or a student can get much higher salary in your country :)
