your 10 and your concerned about your weight? where is society going at?!
well, If your concerned about your health then being aware at a young age isn't bad ^_^

since your young, stay active.... go outside and play with your friends engage in sports and other recreational activities you like, EAT HEALTHY, learn to control your eating habits.... just dont push yourself too hard....

1. stop eating junk food all the freaking time =| i used to junk food and i was fat =|
2. have good sleep. if dont have good sleep, u will not lose fat but gain it
3. eat healthy and in normal amounts >_>
4. go play outside >.< run fat boy run!!!!
5. and dont worry about being fat =| its still baby fat
Or you can ignore whatever anyone's saying. It may just as much be natural for you to be "fat".

Well my advice is to find at least half an hour everyday to exercise, even a power walk is great for you and it does wonders for your stomach if you do it properly. So you have to keep your hips tilted forward, shoulders back, stomach pulled in and you are using the whole of your foot (heel to the ball of your foot).
Power walking is a very good way to lose weight and doesn't harm your body long term, by nature we are not supposed to run. The jolts caused by running actually harm our joints, so if you do want to start that i suggest getting proper running shoes and to keep to grassy terrain because it has more give to it than concrete for example.

I personally prefere cycling. I love the feeling of the wind blowing past me and the speed makes me feel wonderful (blows away all the cobwebs =D). But each exercise stimulates differant muscle groups so do some reasearch into how to make your body into what you're happy with.

Just keep in mind to respect your body, you don't want to injure your self. Also diet and exercise go hand in hand, you can lose weight without exercising but exercise firms everything up where as if you don't exercise it goes flabby.

If it runs in your family - yes, but extremely hard, because it's your genes, and that's a different story. Best way is to get some attention of special doctors and etc, so they would keep track of all minerals in your body and make a special list of what's necessary for you to lose weight.

Well at 10 I wouldn't suggest working out with weights, you're too young to start that IMO. But running/playing sports is a great way to lose some weight. But if you're eating snacks throughout the day or are eating unhealthy foods like fast food, bacon, mayo, etc. than it doesn't matter how much you run because you won't lose the weight. Eat healthy, go running. 30 minutes of cardio a day or more.

And as for having heavy parents, that doesn't mean you're automatically going to be over weight. If its genetic that basically means it will just be easier for you to gain weight than others. It means that you have to be extra careful about what you eat. Eat smaller portions and ask you're parents to cook you healthy foods. If you're eating snack foods and find it difficult to stop, tell you're parents to stop buying them. If they're not in the house, you can't be tempted.

simply play a sport seriosuly go to every training session and effort as much as you can. Gym may help, but you need to run, cardiovascular excersises are the best to lower weight.

I tend to run a hell lot every week due to rugby training and matches.s
