The earth guy told them the seals to perform it. It's not a high-class move, so it's most likely easily learned.

thats not my point you have to have the nature to use it or what was the point of checking narutos nature if everyone can use it. Kakashi mentioned at most people can use 2-3 elementsIts not a complex techniq chunnin level shinobi can use this jutsu it seemss... shikamaru says sooo

On Topic: So what you are saying is that a Shinobi needs to know this certain elemental affinity to use this certain technique? Well, in that case, what the others are trying to say that they could probably use it without this certain elemental affinity but in a lesser or weaker version. It like releasing Edo Tensei when you know the handseals but this time with an elemental state.

Master 2-3 and efficiently enough for battle.
Doesn't mean they can't perform shitty versions of other elements, after all everything is supposed to be made up of all elements.
I think everyone has an affinity to ALL natures. Most affinities are just too weak to be bothered with. Except a few where they are strongly affiliated with more than one.
Naruto probably has other affinities as well but his wind is his strongest affinity so he learnt it first.

Think abt it.... Shikamaru said every shinobi in the alliance should be able to do it... But all we saw is like 10 or 15 good for nothing paper mud walls.... So who knows..... Only those with an earth affinity (As their primary, secondary or tertiary) would have done it....

That's just stupid.... Everyone can't have affinity for everything.... Come on! Even the word explains it.... Affinity.... Something preferred over the other..... There are only 5 basic chakara.... and affinity towards all?? No thats just stupid.....
