How can a User tell what Sharingan they're using??

I know this is fiction tale usually for plot purposes, but seriously this has always come to my mind. How can a sharingan user can determine their levels of tomoe or when mutating to MS Stage. I know they can mold their chakra into their brain symptom but Can they see their own eyes or something??

Because I'm pretty sure when Sarada awakened 1st tomoe sharingan, She didn't realize it until Naruto told her that. However when it comes to Sasuke, it's a different case. Sasuke seem to know full well when he first awakened 2nd tomoes, 3rd tomoes or his MS when during the battle.

I'm sure they can just tell like how Sasuke or anybody else activated and switches eyes there must be a change or something felt or happening in their brains and eyes. Or they could be unaware of it like how they activate it for the first time.

For the tomoes, advanced perception largely. I'd assume there would be an increased chakra flow to the eyes for the MS' awakening that they might be aware of.

Well it looked as if Sasuke was trying to awaken more of the Sharingan tomoes each time he did. Against Haku he definitely did.

It would be based upon the amount of chakra that they are channeling through to make sure their Sharingan stays in a state of Mangekyo, reason why it tends to be trouble for anyone that is not considered an Uchiha to maintain it.

No Sasuke awakened his one tomoe after the Uchiha Massacre and he didn't realize it so eventually Sarada will come to notice her Sharingan.

I think that they realize shortly after awakening or gaining additional tomoe. MS they feel because it takes way more Chakra and strains their eyes.

i think it's how the user feel when sharingan awakens.
for example , u can see something which u can't see just a moment ago.they certainly feels the difference.sarada's feeling just got clouded by emotions.

Sasuke noticed his tomoe's when he was in battle and he was suddenly able to track his opponents movements significantly better. Like Sasuke and Naruto vs Haku and Vote 2.
