Furthermore, the clan took eyes, experimented and tried to find Sharingan's secrets. It's a common Clan practice to take eyes and try to gain light or invent counter Kinjutsus.

Naruto's power is borrowed, Sasuke power is not.

Sasuke don't ask, because his sharingan is not sentien creature, they are his body part, a tool (it dosnt matter if this tool had previous owner, today they are Sasuke's tools).
But Naruto needs cooperation and help of Kurama, Naruto borrow Kurama's power in his fight, and Kyubi can decide (which is unlikly) to don't cooperate with Naruto.

We can note Kyubi personnalilty was literally rewrite to suite Naruto's need, the former vicious demon become a teddy bears which wanted only to make friend.
