The “Ceremony” was held in a large room with lots of Magicians and all of the newcomers.
Miram, Sum and Aiso took the grey robes over their clothes and found their way into the hall.
The floor didnt feel like normal floors, it looked like stone, the only heat came from the torches at the walls, but the floor felt soft, as if they could fall on it without getting hurt.
Everyone had to sit down and look towards the desk at the front.
The leader of the Ceremony had a long dark and thin beard, his hair was dark too, some people said that Mages could make their beard grow with magic just to keep up appearances. But apparently the most common trait for a Mage was the long sleeves which they all had with the grey robes.
The door was never shut, but the leader who’s name was Greyleed told the other Magicians to shut the lights, the room was completely dark, and completely silent, nobody moved, and nobody heard anything.
As seconds passed, feeling like minutes emotions began to take shape in their minds, feark kicked in.
But nobody dared disturb the ceremony, so nobody moved, Greyleed told them to focus close their eyes and become one with the darkness, then focus all of their emotions into their hands.
Miram had one hand like a fist and locked it in with the other, suddenly a light seemed to have arrived from nowhere.
He looked down, the light seemed to be bright, small and almost golden, it formed into a cold but pleasant breeze, his “element” was Wind.
More and more children began to get their elements manifested, Sum’s hands which seemed to almost fight eachother the way he unbuckled them shot fire and Aiso’s balanced water in between them.
The wind in Miram’s hands were that of a spiral, it somehow made him feel good, some other pupils had their hands covered in mud, but everyone in the room seemed to gain something from it, they didn’t know what it was, nobody could find any words for it, everyone were silent simply looking at their hands.
Their Masters however would later call it “hope”.
