Syren walks out of the main base and down the street, hoping to find a new victim for his paintings. as he walks, he remembers when he first got the craving to paint with blood, back when his Sophie was still alive...
"look syren, all you have to do is put yourself in the painting."
"sophie, look at the paintings around you. i'm in all of these. these paintings represent what i am. i poured my heart in soul into it!" he slams his hands down on the table, breaking the glass and cutting his hand. he flinches and looks at it, taking her words to heart.
"maybe, i should put more of me into it. hehe, lets see. if i-"
a loud horn brings him back to reality as he jumps back out of the path of a car.
"wow. we almost painted the pavement, did we? ugh, we are hungry." he looks to his left and sees a coffee shop sort of restaurant, with a faded name on the roof.
"hotcakes? what the hell is a hotcake? lets go inside." he walks in and looks around, cringing.
"oh, it smells too clean. not enough blood." he mutters to himself. he straightens up and jerks his head to the side, then regains composure.
"excuse me, can anyone tell me what a hotcake is? i am new to this town and wish to try out the local cuisine." he walks over to a table where a young woman is sitting. (kiriana)
"could you recommend something for me? i have no idea what this store serves. oh, my name is Syren. its noce to meet you." he holds out his hand and smiles sweetl, masking his inner insanity.
