Hope for Itachi

AS we have all seen in this latest installment to the manga, 478, Izanagi is a real jutsu. Judging by what Madara said we can assume that it gives the user more then one live and you don't have to have MS by the looks of it because it was banned by the entire Uchiha. With these facts and assumptions itachi could of used Izanagi and is now waiting for the right time to imerge once again.

TBH a cliffhanger with a 3 week waiting time is a perfect moment to bring a character back, the whole point of a cliffhanger is to put the story into a whole new level.

Unfortunately Kishi did put it onto a whole new level, but down, not up.

Its doubtful considering when using Izanagi the dead body instantly disappears and the new one shows up. Itachi's body stayed there after his death and was then recovered by Zetsu and Madara.

I agree. It was rather disappointing to find out that the Itachi revelation was an ordinary Tsukuyomi after three weeks of waiting. I didn't have a single new Naruto chapter during my entire Christmas Break, but I kept telling myself it would be alright because the follow up had to be amazing after a cliffhanger like that. Unfortunately, we find out Itachi is a genjutsu. What the junk?

It was pretty predictable, but reading your theory thread made me hopeful! Now look at me. I'm a blubbering mess of depression.

Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm hoping Kishi will still manage to weave the rest of Itachi's story into the manga.

IN my opinion Itachi can stay dead for all I care if he's really such a good guy as Madara told Sasuke.
Seriously, Itachi used to be my favorite, but after he died his entire character got ****ed up as well.
If itachi turns out to be alive he'd better reveal himself to be evil, and that they were just toying with Sasuke's emotions, atthat point Sasuke goes crazy and stuff, and then itachi kills him, takes his eyes and becomes ZA WARUDO.
Itachi may only return if he's evil, otherwise, he can rot for all I care.

I don't agree. On the contrary, when Itachi died his character got made. Before then we didn't know much about him other than that he massacred the entire Uchiha clan and joined Akatsuki. When he died, none of that changed, we just learned more, and that really fleshed out his character. If he does return, he might be evil I suppose, but I don't think so.

Too true. Itachi knew a lot more than he let on, and he was definitely more powerful than he showed.

I'd prefer it if he wasn't evil when he came back, but he'd still be one of my favorite characters.

If I'm right about Izanagi being a Time effect, and also if Zetsu did in fact eat Itachi's body as he did for every other dead Akatsuki member, then there is absolutely no chance on Itachi physically coming back from the dead. Only through soul imprint style thingies can he return, but that's only partially. Face it, we'll never, ever, ever see Itachi's true power. Which is actually better, because at least then Kishi can't fail to live up to our expectations, and we can all keep on dreaming.
