He said more ominous than my own, just as Uchiha Madara. Not that they had the same chakra, jsut that both of theirs gave off an evil feeling. If the point youre trying to make is that if Sasuke had been there with a mask, then the Kyuubi would have thought it was Madara (and this is essentially what you are saying) then I have to disagree. Again, it was a ploy, by the writer, to throw us off the trail of Obito.

Unless the Kyuubi has the Byakugan, I doubt he can see behind the mask.

But with Konan, that is just my point. There is no rhyme or reason to talk the way he did to her and Kushina and Naruto, other than a ploy by the writer to keep us guessin at his identity. Which is fine, but that is simply the way it is. To say, " well he was just that committed that even people that were about had to die had to think he was Madara". If you believe that, okay, but ive accepted it as a writing technique used by Kishi, which again, is no problem.

With Naruto, there was not even a reason to bring up the first Hokage (from a writers perspective) other than to get us thinking that it couldnt be Obito. If Kishi knew it was Obito (and that is saracasm) then what im saying is he purposefully made Obito say things for no reason souly to make us think it wasnt him.

Yes, their was a reason to bring up the 1st Hokage. He was there to explain that "Madara and the 1st Hokage" battle was fated, and he saw the 1st Hokage in Naruto because he was the next descendant of the younger son. Which is why we got that Sage era explained through his kids history. Obito brought the Elder son up as well,and decided that Sasuke and Naruto were basically the next Madara and Hashirama. The next Elder and Younger descendants.

so 1) Yes he was pretending.. he needed to make everyone belive that he was madara because madara is fearsome beast and when everyone hear a name Uchiha Madara, they shit into their pants..

2) Imagine that you are waiting for something one-two-three years(I don't know how much did it pass but it doesn't matter).. of course that it would be long to wait.. you couldn't wait for month not to say years(same goes for me and everyone else).. if you don't get, I'll explain it better.. you want vengance, really badly.. and you have to wait.. Imagine that..(or you could imagine that you need to wait someone you love for 1-2-3 years..) I hope that you get it

as for kyuubi "you" part.. obito had spiral zetsu on him and madara surely gave some powers to obito(same as itachi gave to sasuke) so thats the reason why kyuubi recognized him..

3) I have two possible answers here.. first one is obvius.. genjutsu.. and second one i zetsu tranformed to madara.. I don't see why is this imposible..

4) It's NOT madara.. it only his will, not his mind or something.. it's like (on your 1st comment) when obito told to naruto that hashirama will is within naruto.. its not like hashirama is within naruto, only his will.. hope that you understand what I mean..

Hmm okay...I will accept the fact that it was necessary to bring up the first (as a writer) to make the parallels. However... i am holding my ground that it was absolutely a stretch by the writer to give Obito such emotions towards the first Hokage. He simply would not have had that kind of knowledge to be able to see the first Hokage in Naruto without ever meeting him. I dont care what kind of explanation Madara gave him, the only way he could be so passionate about that was by actually meeting the first and fighting him like Madara did. That part was to make us think Obito was Madara.

Same thing Im gonna tell everyone else. All your reasons are purely speculative.

1. Ive been debating with some else over this for awhile..see my comments there

2. That is purely your speculation. If you think that statement, "Do you have ANY idea (and yes any was bolded)" was meant to represent 1 or 2 years...not three.. Naruto was not born three years after third ninja war. But if you think that meant 1 or 2 years, fine. The second part of your explanation is speculative as well. I dont see what the spiral has to do with the Kyuubi recognizing him and we cant know what powers Madara gave him at the moment. Even if he did, the Kyuubi recognized Obito's sharingan, this was only to throw us off the trail of Obito.

No point in arguing over 3 or 4. Ill admit they arent as solid.

But 1 and 2 I stand by.

First, the Kyuubi knows Madara's chakra. When Madara tried to summon him as an Edo, he immediately recognized him. He isnt going to mix up something like because some one is wearing a mask. I feel like a lot of you guys arent giving the Kyuubi any credit.

To your point and Obito's statement. "Any" was bolded for emphasis. Kishi used that statement to make us think that Tobi had been waiting for this for a long time. If the explanation is simply just, "Oh well a one or 2 years is a long time" then no, you are just rolling with the punches. He used that statement to make us think Tobi was older than he was, because of the Zetsu body Obito sseemed taller than he was and he reinforced our doubt with that statement. Which again, is my point. A standard has been set in this universe that when something is emphasized like that statement was, we as readers, expect it to be impactful or to some sort of extreme. When he says that, we look at the current timeline of the story and assume it must be a pretty historic amount of time, but it simply wasnt. It was a statement thats value was over-sold and was used to throw us off the trail of Obito, which AGAIN, is FINE.

the only thing i will say is that kishi purposely left that "black rod" thing for obito to use thats probably how he fooled the kyuubi because its madaras will and probably helped obito tame the kyuubi into believing he was madara

kisame is the same age as obito (roughly) and so could be easily fooled by obito into believing he was madara i mean obito face was f****ed up and wrinkled on one side... making him look alot older than he actually is

all the other stuff is true about his irrelevant talking but tht could be him taking his role as madara abit too seriously and he was right do so in some respects as if hed been different with kushina she may have come bk and told naruto some nxt sh** sayin tht masked man is a liar
