Mirabelle would continue to swim through the pitch black waters, seeing nothing but endless darkness. She would feel her nerves getting more and more tighter as she dove deeper. No sign of Isabella at all; considering the darkness of the mud blocked her vision. Lucky for her this bubble would serve amazingly in keep her breathing while down here.

Mirabelle would continue to swim through the brackish waters; but slowly but surely as she swam closer; something was…different. Immediately as passed deeper into the depths; she would be suddenly blinded by the appearance of…light? As she swam down more, her eyes opened…to find crystal clear waters. As she swam after down; her mind would be clearly confused as to what’s going on. She would turn around to look behind of her, only to see the pitch-black mud having stopped a few meters behind of her. “What is this…” she asked herself but immediately she would decide to create a more…optimal source of air. Immediately a thought came to mind; as she would disperse the air bubble while kneading her fire chakra nature but utilizing an infusion of Yin Release at the same time, she would modify the technique. The cloak that would be created; was modified with to become a mobile breathing apparatus. The cloak, now composed of wind release chakra was redesigned to pull in oxygen from the water; guiding it and filtering it into Mirabelle’s nostrils and mouth while also when she breathed out, the cloak would guide it out of the cloak and into the water. It was a success as it now allowed her to breath underneath the water more effectively. The usual feather that came with the cloak however didn’t manifest as intended either. “Where is she…” she wondered as she resumed swimming downwards looking around at the area.

(Katon: Sanshō̄o No Kate) | Fire Release: The Phoenix Feathered Muffler
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Self
Chakra: 20 (-5 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: The Phoenix Feathered Muffler is a simple technique that involves the release of fire chakra that will cloak the user. Although this technique fully cloaks the user - as many defensive techniques do, it does not offer the typical defensive properties that a normal armor would, in fact, outside of the fiery golden glow that will emanate from the users visage, and the techniques special interaction with fire techniques, virtually nothing will change as the shroud is almost completely incorporeal. However, when the user is in contact with a flame that is either devoid of chakra, comprised of the users chakra, or comprised of the chakra of one that the user has a blood contract with, such as summons, the shrouds true abilities will be displayed. The user will be capable of interacting with any flame or fire technique that they produce without suffering from harm or adverse effects - such as respiratory problems - not only that but, should they so wish, they will be capable of interacting with fire as if it were a solid, liquid or gas - such as standing on top of a flame despite its incorporeal qualities or floating within a fire. This ability signifies the user as the 'Unburnt', gracing the user with an ability previously believed to be the sole realm of the Dragon and Phoenix. (Does not grant the user immunity to enemy fire techniques).

Notes:
This technique can be used a maximum of twice, will last until cancelled and has a two turn cooldown between usages. Furthermore a rather intriguing and strange effect of this technique is that, no matter how hard the user may try, they will be incapable of using water techniques while this technique is active. Stranger yet, is that the only solid portion of this technique is a feather comprised of golden ash, seemingly immune to anything but water, that will attach itself to the user's chest.
(Inton: Ten ni Henkō) – Yin Release: Change into Heaven
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+50 chakra cost to applied technique)
Description: The user manipulates a technique of the basic 5 elements with Yin natured energy, allowing the user to change its properties. Fire can become solid, lightning can become tangible. The possibilities are as endless as the user’s own imagination. The end result is a technique neutral to all basic elemental natures. This technique is applied within the same timeframe as the technique it is applied to. The infused chakra increases the technique by an additional ten chakra, of the fifty it costs in total.
Note: Yin Release specialists can apply this technique to advanced fields, CE, and advanced elements.
Note: Using Change into Heaven to transform the inherent nature of an element does not modify its base speed.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and 6 times per arc.

Isabella kept on swimming through the murky waters, as the sun started to penetrate less and less into the mass of ocean she was in. Spreading her mushroom chakra through her body, numerous small oyster mushrooms started growing on her back and shoulders, creating an estriated patter of mushroom caps that immediately unleashed their bioluminescense, glowing against the darkness that started to surround her, as she kept on sinking deeper. The Rough Toad coat spread to enveloped the caps, protecting them against the mud waters.

She kept on swimming, the light from the mushrooms didn't seem to abade much except a few meters range from Isabella. She considered increasing the power of the lights, but she figured it would be useless. She had long lost Mirabelle from sight, but could thinly sense her chakra presence at the bottom. The mud seemed to clash with even her sensory.

As she kept on swimming through the mud, she started to feel light pushing outwards more and more, coming from underneath. She kept on pushing until, suddenly, the murk waters were gone, and she was swimming in perfectly clear waters again. So far from the sun, her mushrooms cut through the darkness of the bottom of the ocean, and a dazzling beacon of light took the shape of a marvellous underwater city.

Isabella quickly stretched her sensory to find Mirabelle a few meters away, gazing the city. WIth a few handseals, after biting her thumb, she summoned a magnificently multicolored cubozoa, wth a though floater that stretched a couple of meters in radius, while it's 4 lethal tentacles reached tens of meters in length. Attaching herself to the floater, she went over to Mirabelle.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu) Summoning Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defense/Attack/Suplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on his hand, perform the Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram handseals and then touch the ground or another object, where a sealing formula will appear. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete, most summoning uses use a solid surface, though in some cases it can even be done mid air. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground. Others will clap their hands directly like Nagato through the use of his Animal Path. The user must have signed the contract with the creature he wants to summon but the technique can be used to summon a generic creature of that contract (B-Rank) which will have no special traits or abilities beyond those normal to the rest of the animals in the contract. The animal is always summoned on the mark that appears upon slamming the users hand or, if not the case, always in short range of the user.

We have arrived, have you read about this city in any of the books you've read?

As Mirabelle was admiring the city from above; she noticed that Isabella finally made it from the black mud that was only several meters away. Afterwards she would notice her summoning some Jellyish like the one from beforehand. The Uchiha would swim with the jellyfish and approach Mirabelle. She would attempt to speak to her but it was quite muffled but Mirabelle was somewhat able to understand her. “I’m afraid not…this is…new even to me” she said her eyes completely amazed by this discovery.

Isabella sat back onto the floater of the magnificent box jellyfish, in awe of the city. There weren't many cities with such an style. Out of character, one could describe the sprawling city underneath a dome as a romanic inspired mausoleum, a city of angels underwater. The waters were blue and crystal clear, and the light coming from the city permeated even the dark bottom of the sea floor with an awe-inspiring glimmer.

Isabella stood in her spot, unable to move her eyes from the city.

Deep in the waters of the Hokubu Ocean rests the home of the Sentinels; while not an ancient race, and by all means newborn in human standards, they are endowed with immense wisdom and intelligence. In terms of their appearance they are much like Kisame, a race of humanoid fish and sharks. They have been essentially isolated from the rest of the world for almost a year now, having first appeared shortly after Enkidu was pulled from the depths of the dark waters of Tiamat. The waters deep in the ocean are crystal blue, forming a dome that separates them from the rest of the Sea of Life. And yet despite their depth and the absolute darkness their city is illuminated and beautiful, a beacon of light in the abyss. Here the veil between our world and the Void is thin, almost as thin as it is in the Underworld itself. And yet something eats away at Isabella and Mirabelle the longer they stay here. Something is watching them.

OOC: In the depths of the Hokubu both of you will be keeping track of your 'Sanity.' It is a stat much like Health and Chakra. You begin with 100 Sanity. Should it fall to zero your minds will surrender to madness, rendering you Insane.

Mirabelle would be swimming in the water for a little while longer near Isabella but time was of the essence. “Well…we made it this far down..no point in turning back” she said diving down towards the Atlantis like city. As she got closer towards the solid ground; she would look around at the inhabitants. They were like hybrid between human and fish of sorts; though she would probably be getting weird glances at her from them. She would attempt to strike up a conversation with one of them nearby if possible. “Excuse me!” she said waving towards the fishman. “Urm we’ve come from the surface world…it would be so kind of you if you can guide us to someone in charge of here…” she said in a somewhat awkward tone. She doesn’t even know if they understand the human language in the first place. She would look to see if Isabella would be following behind her but hopefully the fishman would be of some assistance to them.

Isabella swam downwards with Mirabelle. Her friendliness irked Isabella a bit, especially in such a strange city as this one. She knew of the Gyojin and many clans with animalistic traits, but these beings were quite different. She didn't outwardly showed any signs of disrespect, at least not in her own customs, but she wasn't exactly aware of what to do in such a situation.

She tried to scan them for chakra, not knowing if there would be anything that could affect this seemingly alive beings, with absolutely no chakra system to be sensed (Is that right Drackos?).

It seems Mirabelle’s attempt to interact with the local fishman wasn’t exactly well received. The fishman would simply gaze at her in a rather dumbfounded way as he carried on with his business – which in all honesty was a bit rude. She felt a bit annoyed but maybe they really don’t understand the human language. She would turn to Isabella whom was behind her simply watching along she gave a rather sheepish smile. “Guess he or she wasn’t in the talking mood today” she tried to play it off. Instead, she would start to walk the streets of the city. It seems many of the fishmen was intentionally avoiding any sort of interaction with them at least that was until one of them from a far would notice them. “Ah, human travelers in our lovely society?” the one fishman said, clearly male in his tone. He would swiftly come up to the two maidens with welcoming arms. “Please come come, allow me to show you my souvenir stand!” he said as he yanked Mirabelle by her arm though gently as to not hurt her.

Wa…wait!” she said as she tried to pull back but by time he got her to his stand, he was swiftly moved to behind it. “It’s the first time we’ve seen humans come to the civilization, so I want to be the firs to have human customers” the male fishman said. Mira’s original plan was to simply speak to whomever was in charge of this society but a miniature exploration and interaction with the locals shouldn’t be too bad. As she looked onto the table of items, she would notice there was a lot of oceanic items ranging from pearl necklaces, jewelry and other items that seem to come from the surface world but one thing did catch her attention a bit more. The market man would curiously crook his head, wondering what exactly is her reaction. Mirabelle would break her mind out from the trance. “
Please…can I buy this?” she said, as the Sentinel smiled. “Of course…as a matter of fact, since you’re my honorable first human customer, consider it one the house!” she Sentinel said. Mirabelle’s eyes would widen with glee as she took a small sapphire colored pearl “Thank you so much, urm…” she said not getting a name. The fishman however knew what she was thinking. “Erindel” he laughed as he finally introduced his name. “Enjoy your stay in Eridu” Erindel said to her waving goodbye. “So they can speak human language…and the city is called Eridu…” she made mental notes of these for her discovery.

Isabella kept close to Mirabelle, though the giant box jellyfish that carried her was getting quite a lot of atention. It seemed even in this remote place, the venom of the Cubozoa was still regarded as the most painful and lethal venom in the ocean. She felt pride as the etherial animal swam through the market stalls.

There was an assortment of trinkets and even a few weapons, but none grabbed her attention. She understood them to be salvaged from things lost at sea, but the market seemed quite low level for the true treasures to be for sale. Mirabelle bought a pretty little gem, which was most likely the best find they would come upon in this market.

Mirabelle, this place doesn't seem to be anything special. We should probably go in further.

There were quite a lot of amazingly intricate buildings surrounding the plaze where they were standing, but none other than the big gates that were spread open underneath a maginificent roman arc. There, a giant street ran across several large palaces and other beautiful buildings. The city seemed to open up as they swam across the main avenue, and even the people and the stores seemed to be of an higher and higher quality.

But even in this idyllic city, she could see the differences in power and influence. While many of the fish people kept a cleany attire and lofty attitude, she could see corners and back alleys populated by ragged children and shady thugs. As she kept on surveying the underbelly of Eridu, she came upon a tiny fish girl.

She was dirty and most likely poor. Her cheek had been bruised from who knows what, but her eyes were bright with life and youth. While she didn't have any hair, her hair was covered by what appeared to be cloth-like fins that cascated through her back, bright red and pink. She seemed entranced by the jellyfish beast that Isabella was ridding, and even more so by the same red "hair" that Isabella had.

She reminded Isabella of her own past, orphaned, alone. Yet, for some reason, this one seemed happy, hopeful. She thought back about Scorps, and how life wasn't so bad when he was around. After losing her eyes, she came to him, but not even him could heal her. Now, Isabella had new eyes, her old ones still entrapped in Madara's clutches. She hardened her resolve, but not before tossing a few coins for the little fish girl to stop staring.

I don't see any guard... or important person. And I can't shake this feeling of being watched. Have you studied any civilization like this? Do you know the layout of cities similar to this... Eridu?

"HALT!" The command echoed through the water suddenly. Behind the pair four Myrmidons appeared, each armed with a massive trident-like weapon that glowed purple and blue energies. Their presence had been concealed before, and used the sand on the seafloor as a guise to hide their positions. They were mermen, almost - each of the guards had long serpent-like tails with humanoid bodies, though significantly modified to be far more fish and shark-like in appearance. Unbeknownst to Isabella and Mirabelle, the guards were on high alert and stationed throughout Eridu. Something had changed in the six months since Lucifer had come to the city. Though it was impossible to say what, and the pair would have no idea either. But these guards were suspicious of outsiders, a remarkable shift from the warm welcoming that Lucifer had when he first arrived. "State your purpose here, humans. You are to be escorted at all times in accordance with the policy set forth by the High Priestess." The Myrmidons were the vanguard of Eridu's military force, having formed in the months after Lucifer's appearance under Lady Ningal's command.

Isabella turned around, the giant box jellyfish's etherial tentacles swirling in the middle of the street as they turned to face the new arrivals. It raised it's lethal tentacles to strike off the new arrivals with venom more painful than being burned alive, but was stopped immediately with but a single glance from Isabella.

She stepped off from the cubozoa's floater, to greet the Myrmidons. They were peculiar to say the least, long bodies resembling snakes rather than fishes, even though they had strong shark-like features.

My name is Isabella Uchiha, she is Mirabelle Nariyuki. We have been sent here by Enkidou, the child god. Though he may have forgotten to warn Eridu beforehand, or educate us on your customs for all that is worth. We have every intention of following the rules of this city and of the High Priestess.

Mirabelle would suddenly hear a voice call out saying “Halt”. Her immediate attention shifted towards the mermen behind her, as they seem to be somewhat on edge. At first she didn’t know what to say, but she immediately stepped forwards though not close enough to try and not create any sort of ill intention. “With all due respect, we come in peace” she announced. “We do not wish to cause any trouble among your home, we’ve come seeking answers” she said vaguely. “We were advice by S..." she tried to tell the truth but Isabella lied to them being sent by Enkidu which immediately annoyed Mirabelle but she pressed on. "We’re not here for any conflict and will abide by your laws accordingly as Isabella mentioned” she said, trying to appease to the creatures. They where immediately outnumbered and considering how possibly close they are to the void, it’s not without a doubt these individuals where strong. “We would like to seek an audience with your High Priestess…please

"Then you will come with us." The captain's voice was firm, but tinged in paranoia. "Take them into the city." Two Myrmidons swam through the water, approaching Mirabelle and Isabella. "Security protocol dictates we escort you. Humans are permitted to visit the High Priestess but we are to guard you through the city at all times," the captain gave no room to debate or argue. The two Myrmidons he commanded grabbed the women each by the arm and slowly swam forward with them in their grasp. "You two - follow them closely." The captain issued one last command to the other two Myrmidons, closely trailing the first two that had taken Isabella and Mirabelle. Something had changed deep in Eirdu. On its surface the city appeared at peace. Men and women shopped and traded in the markets, the children attended the temples for school - but at the heart of the city, in the Shrine of the Grovetenders, the Void Tree that was once only a sapling had grown significantly. It now towered above Eridu, massive in size.

As the myrmidons approached, the jellyfishes's tentacles seemed to float lazily around Isabella, inadvertly barring the passage of the approaching sentinels. Isabella kept calm as she turned in the direction where the myrmidons seemed to want to take them.

Of course, we'll follow you willingly.

She kept on, untouched, though offering absolutely no resistance to being close to the soldiers, just not touched. As the entourage led the away, she noticed a giant tree, completley foreign to her. It had no life of notice, yet her eyes seemed to resonate with something that composed it. She felt no chakra, but it was obviously alive, and Isabella had no way of knowing what it meant.

She turned to the captain again, deciding not to even ackowledge the existence of the remaining Myrmidons.

That tree... did you settle in this place because of that? It doesn't seem like this city has grown around it, but rather it was grown aftewards?

Isabella was no architect, but it was easy enough to understand that none of the buildings or pathways were built around the massive tree. It grew as it wished, depiste the sprawling city, and then grew even further, to tower above it. What was it?

The Captain grunted as she asked her question. The Myrmidons in many ways were more muscle than brain. They were the brute force of Eridu that was formed after the mysterious events that transpired between Lucifer's visit six months prior and today. They answered the call of strength, and gave their absolute loyalty to their city. It was completely unlike the retinue of soldiers that had visited the ruins of Chungsu a year before then. "Your questions can be directed to Lady Ningal." They offered no other information, and didn't really seem particularly interested in talking to Isabella or Mirabelle anyway. But regardless of the militarized state that the city was in, Eridu was magnificent. Its buildings were formed from stunning marble architecture and despite the paranoia were still not guarded by any walls or barriers. It was a city that was unadulterated from outside contact almost entirely.

Mirabelle would idly follow everyone; making sure she wasn’t going to cause any trouble. She would wave hello to come of the children she was passing by as they waved back. She remained quiet the entire time of the ordeal. She didn’t wish to cause any sort of trouble to the fishman and simply continued to walk with them as she noticed a giant tree in the disrance. "What a beautiful home you all have..." she said to them though her mind was elsewhere at that moment.

The four Myrmidons, along with Isabella and Mirabelle, finally arrived at the heart of the city - the base of the Void Tree. The tree was growing out of the center of a courtyard within a massive temple, a temple that was built in dedication to the tree itself. The marble columns were inscribed with images of the tree itself; each column told a different part of the same story. At the column furthest to the left was the city's first buildings, and the first of the Sentinels. And as it went further to the right so too did the chronology going further in time. It showed images of a small sapling growing upward. Until finally at the far right was the tree as it was now - a towering massive structure. But this was no ordinary green leafed and brown bark tree. This was a towering behemoth. Its bark was grey and white, cracked throughout it. It had no leaves, just empty branches that reached out toward the darkness of the Sea of Life above.

And at the top of the stairs leading into the temple was Lady Ningal; by all metrics Lady Ningal was magnificently beautiful. She wore flowing white robes that seemed to gently drift in the water currents, and it contrasted perfectly with her long black hair. "Welcome humans our temple. Once there was a time where we would welcome visits from your world. But history changes like the tides. Why have you come?"
