1. Hojōjutsu/Nawajutsu is the usage of a Rope/Chain/Wire, or similar weapons to use in combat, mainly revolves around restraining the opponent with the said weapons, attacking while using hand to hand combat by wrapping around the opponent's limbs rendering them useless or increase the force of punches by using the knots in the end of the rope which would be tied in between the user's fingers, and capturing the opponent's limbs to certain positions decreasing their leverage and force with the usage of chakra you are able to manipulate the rope do certain tasks, like intercepting incoming projectile weapons, or throwing your own weapons using the rope.

2. I think the original idea was from One Piece, the style was used with a rope by Paulie, then you expanded it to the usage of Wires, chains..etc

Correct. Paulie from One Piece is where I got the main idea from, but like I said above it was Doc Ock that I got the mental manipulation from that I knew would make this a great offensive and defensive tool. Another was Spawn. >_>


Mostly because I dont plan on having to use handseals for any of these techniques, it makes it a great counter agent. As I'm sure you have seen in my battles, there are plenty of different ways to use Hojojutsu/Nawajutsu simply by mental manipulation.

*Deflecting weaponry launched towards you.
*Unable to be injured by a weapon that lacks chakra as long as the chains are wrapped around your body (Beheading not included but that doenst mean you still can't deflect or grab the weapon used before it does so....beware of Arrow users, they will simply aim for your head/arms/feet/neck, as these are all of the exposed body parts that lack constant chain defense.
*Capable of sending kunai or holding swords and other weapons to attack your opponent while you maintain the free use of your hands.
*Grappling an opponent who's primary fighting styles are kenjutsu and taijutsu.

There are many other uses for the chains/cords/ropes as well that I simply haven't explored yet due to lack of battlefield conditions. Pretty much being able to swing from tree to tree in a forest without using your hands, Climbing a mountain, hanging from a structure, etc. All things capable of simply free thought. It makes it rather hard to come up with techniques when all you have to do is think about what you want to do and it just happens. lol.

What ways can you think of to use Hojojutsu in the Narutoverse

There are like you said a lot of ways to use it, restraining is one of them, stealth attacks when in a short range using your body limbs to cover the movement of the chains, which would leave the opponent very little time to react considering how fast the chains would be, and depending on how long the chain is, it could be used to wrap around a distant opponent, by making the chain go underground and reaching them from behind, and since lightning is often used to counter techniques like this, and the chains being metal it wouldn't be harmed by lightning and would charge it and paralyze the opponent, and another usage would be the use of Sealing Tags, or mainly fuuinjutsu techniques, like for example applying a tag around the chain and using it's long reach to affect the opponent, this can be done with barriers, tags that release an explosion, or tags that can affect the opponent by being placed onto them, like Muscle Restriction Seal, Illusion Sealing skill, contract seal and a lot others. the possibilities are endless xd

Yep that came to my mind when i saw the mind manipulation, and all my weapons are already FTG tagged it's gonna be awesome, it's gonna be pretty awesome with a Kurapica bio also.

Then the chains begin to loosen up, I concentrate a large amount of chakra into the chains, in order to overwhelm your chakra with my own, taking control of the chain with my chakra, the chain once again constrict on Minato however he gradually decreases the amount of his chakra loosening up the chains around him and allowing him to move freely, the chains are wrapped around his stomach, from under the arms and the rest of it wrapped around his right hand so his movements become unrestricted, but he can still feel the weight of the chains slowing his movements slightly, he starts to run around a field that extends half a mile, running 20 laps.

phew! much better.

As the chain has my chakra, containing it i think lifting a FTG kunai from my pouch located to the right side of my left hip, picturing the chain in my mind doing that, causing the chain to reach out for the pouch and it's pointy tip goes into the circular opening in the kuani, lifting the kunai upwards and tossing it towards your clone, to his chest.

Then i charge lightning chakra within my body and release a burst of electricity that binds with the chain, charging it with lightning as the electricity spreads through the chain, the Nagashi has the proprieties of paralysis and numbness, which is what's going to happen if an opponent is hit by the chain while Nagashi is running through it.

I clear my mind and calm my breathing, breathing in and out slowly, in order to focus my mind and have my thoughts clearer, i think about the chain going towards your clone directly, wrapping onto his right arm, then going around his back and wrapping around his left arm, then the chain tightening onto both of his arms, forcing them both to move behind him to the center of his back stuck together, then the chain moves in a complicated pattern forming a knot on both hands while they are stuck against each other while the lightning infused with the chains causes it to numb your clone's hands making him unable to feel them, and paralyzing his body.

With you being a Konoha Nin, I can tell you that the inspiration for the majority of your techniques are coming from Ghost Rider. Flames on the chains are quite deadly the way he uses them, ,so I will find a way to incorporate that into the elements for everyone else as well. Feel free to PM/MSN me any ideas that you have.

As the chains are wrapped onto the clone's hands causing him to be restrained, i send a bigger amount of chakra throughout the chains, and thinking into my mind that they are getting tighter, to the point where there are blunt marks left by the chains onto the clone's arms, additionally due to the pressure on his arms the blood circulation will be shut, cutting off the blood flow from his arms and making him unable to use it, then i manipulate the chains with my mind, as they are tightly holding both arms against each other behind the clone, the chains pull the arms out violently taking them out of their sockets and causing the clone to vanish.

Oh and i mentioned that when you severed the links that the front of the chains are wrapped onto my right arm while the rest is wrapped around my stomach xd

Oh shiz O_O

I command the chains to come out of my right hand, reaching for your clone's right hand and wrapping around it, then it continues to his left hand from behind his back and ties both hands together by a knot, sticking them to the middle of his back, as i think about the chains being more tightly onto the clone's arms, squeezing his arms to the point in which his blood flow is cut off his hands, making it useless, as i cause the chains to pull out both of his arms violently, ripping his arms out of it's sockets, then as the Nagashi is being channeled to me by your clone before he poofs, i utilize my chakra to severe a link of the chain and cut off the chakra from passing through the rest of the chains as they retract to me wrapping around me.

Then i order he chains to come out of my right and left arms from my sleeves while focusing Fire chakra within them, and i perform a rapid rotation while the chains are extended up to 5 meters away from me, performing a cyclone of fire that surrounds me, and attack anyone who's in range simultaneously.

I got the perfect technique for this so it wouldn't be a hinder to lose sight of your opponent, my technique makes fire techniques semi transparent allowing you to be able to see through them xd.
