what am i a dummy, you think i was born yesterday..this is what I meant. i know its mifune but why did kishi put the 1st hokage in there and then switched it back to mifune. what kind of connection is he trying to give?

It's not the 1st Hokage... It's a flash Back of there 1st fight..

Hanzo and Mifune fought before.

well a bit but not if your paying enough attention. almost immidiately i noticed the sword and the samurai armour as well as it being a flashback.. just read more carefully.. pay more attention to it

i see..that does look very familar to the 1st hokage. The armor looks familar too.

Hanzo/Mifune was thinkin about the past if you look closely you see that Hanzo does not ware the same outfit, in the flashback he doesn't have a cape or a shirt on and Mifune's outfit looks a lil bit different to.
