No, he didn't. All Yhwach did was observe Ichigo's actions. He had no influence, direct or indirect, on Ichigo's actions. The Yhwach that was within Ichigo is a separate entity, and his objective was only to protect Ichigo. Aizen, on the other hand, set up all of Ichigo's conflicts up to everything that transpired from his introduction to the Shinigami to his journey through Hueco Mundo.

Aizen actually tried to intervene in Ichigo's life. Bach didn't do anything, he simply said that everything Ichigo did was for his own benefit as they share the same blood and it should be biologically impossible for his own blood to not help hem, let alone defy him. With other words whatever Ichigo did or would do, it all would be for Bach, but he himself in particular didn't do anything at all to make Ichigo do what he wants as no matter what Ichigo did or would do, it would automatically be for him. There's quite a big difference there. If you would compare Aizen to someone who is moving pieces on a chessboard, then Bach wouldn't move any piece. The pieces would move themselves, but whatever move they decide to make, everything by default is for the sake of Bach. It's arrogance taken one step further than Aizen for so far that was still possible.

What Bach was implying in this chapter is that whatever Ichigo is doing, he is doing in his name because of his "blood". Ichigo wanted power, he wanted to defeat the quincies, he then wanted to defeat the Soul society, he then wanted to stop Aizen from becoming the "Soul King", he then wanted to gain power and then he himself destroyed the Soul King.
This was all done with the help of Bach's "blood"
In Fact even if Ichigo becomes so strong that he would be able to defeat Bach, soul society won't let him return, thus he would have to fight them and defeat them to return back, thus Bach wins in his defeat too.
Bach might not be the one who is moving the pieces but it's his pawn who is doing so.
This is all just vintage Kubo writing he is reusing all the tropes he just absolutely love.

I'm glad someone else noticed this, he is a less impressive copy, he is almost quoting Aizen, only Aizen was a more exciting and intimidating character
When ichigo got his new blade they explained the influence that ichigos quincy heritage had on his powers. Ywachs presence in ichigo was only to restrain his powers and nothing more.
Thats why his blade human form looks like Ywach.
He did help him. Like when he got that massive power up against Kenpachi.
But he had no control over when he lost his powers or when he gained them.
