If Hiruzen > Hashi then Hiruzen > Madara ? I don't think so. Actually the truth was Madara killed Hashirama then didn't go back to the village because he thought he would be despised and not acccepted as hokage then he went on his own way.

Well, I don't care about what kind of statements characters give about others, ex. is:
Kakashi: Naruto has surpassed me(completion of FRS)
and I strongly believe that THAT naruto was nowhere near Kakashi's level....
If Iruka says 3rd is the strongest, it was HIS opinion after listening to others and supposedly no one had seen Hashi in their life.....3rd didn't beat "Senju Hashirama, leader of the forest clan, first hokage of HLV & the only man in the world who could rival and defeat such OP'd Madara" coz those were imperfect dummies and mere dead-bodies controlled by Oro who 3rd defeated and still with high difficulty.......
Madara is just pitying on gokage and still admires Hashirama after getting all those OP's...............even regarding the power-scale level of saga & shippuden, Hashirama is still better and supposedly can be rivaled by THIS Madara only.......IMO.

1. hiruzen has shown no feats and great achievement except fighting orochimaru
2.hiruzen was only a spectator when tobi+9 tail fox attacked konoha and hiruzen was pleading 4th hokage minato to stop that carnage.
3.hiruzen was hailed strongest hokage by iruka sensei i guess but do u really believe the saying of a person who hasnt even witness hiruzn in a legendary battle. to be a great hero , u need a great villaine. and hiruzen has no one in his times. come on man u are watching how awsome E.M.S madara and his techniques are and most of the ninja of hiruzen era dont even know about susanoo,amatersu,mokuton,tsukuyomi, raw brute force and no hiruzen never had to face them. all hiruzen has in his arsenal in thousand shuriken jutus,some elemental jutsu, fire realse earth realease , etc etc and which shinobi has died with these crappy jutsu expect fodder ninjas in ist half of naruto part.

i am a hashirama fan...i dont believe we should say he wins or that hiruzen its just a topic for arguement and should be stopped because noone has proof who would winhashirama> hiruzen
hashirama controlled the tailed beast, hiruzen was getting owned by 9 tails he had to relly on minato. hiruzen would have been murder by madara. madara broken out of seals and traps by the 5 kages at least twice. hiruzen got owned by orochimaru and couldnt get out of the low level barrier. this thread needs to be deleted there is no arguement at all unless your a troll
