Hiruzen is extremely underrated.

Judging Hiruzen off his fight with Oro and the Kages really isn't even the correct way to do it..even though his age did effect his performance, like Orochimaru stated:

So on top of us only seeing old age Hiruzen, we saw old age Hiruzen who wasn't even giving it 100%.

we saw a younger hiruzen giving it his all during the nine tails attack. it isnt much better than old hiruzen.

He was still retired at that point, and we didn't even see what he did. All we know is he and that small group of people pushed the kyuubi out. Didn't even get to see how they did it.

Enma and the Akimichi that was with him were probably the biggest reasons for pushing it out due to their raw strength, but who knows.

We have seen zabuza who was controlled without emotions fight just as well as he did in part 1. With that being said, it is only logical to assume that even without emotions, the user is able to fight as well as they did in their prime. Hiruzen > Hashirama as an old man. He countered everything hashirama threw at him. Hiruzen is a bad matchup for hashirama.

Going from what owarij said awhile back, enma might have cloud release and controll of Two elements (wind and water i think), I think he was going off the Jap myth behind Enma, Since kishi does base stuff off old Jap myths and legends
(I could be totally wrong about this, This was along time ago he said this and i cannot remember what he said exactly.


People claim that he is all hype, Yet say nothing of hashirama being almost all hype.

People say the Edo kages wern't at full strength, Yet say nothing of hiruzen not being at full strength.

Also i found this old quote from him, Again this isn't proof, Just an assumption base off the myth behind enma

enma was the staff, he could shapeshift into many forms... in the manga i believe he showed staff form, and cage form, according to the monkey king myth, he has 72 forms


i guess he could have turned into something like a sword/ katana, as well as other stuff

Not unlikely either.. this is a hokages personal summon.. and according to the databook together they were a powerhouse..

Frogs have been shown with elements as well, Enma is extremely old, I highly doubt he doesn't have anything to show with that age

Not to mention dead, and not in the top 10. I've said in once and I'll say it again. I really hate "____ is underrated" threads. Most people can solo him with ease, especially in Shippuden. The power scaling has changed, and he's extremely weak now. Not to mention NO ONE has the right to talk about his prime since we have no knowledge of it. So yh, he's weak.
