Last time we saw Hiruzen was when he was busy analyzing Obito's black orbs.

Because of all of this! My conclusion is that Hiruzen will be a very important role in trying to counter Obito black orbs. Until at least Orochimaru comes back so he can have a Team Hiruzen reunion. Possible Monkey Sage Mode? Perhaps?

People seem to forget that Hashirama and Tobirama lost half their bodies to Obito's weird-ass weapons when he first became the Jinchuuriki, yet they both reformed. Minato, on the other hand, only lost his arm after Obito regained control. Since Hiruzen was taken down while Obito was still in the passenger seat like Hashirama and Tobirama, there is zero reason to believe that he is out of the game.

Its not necessarily the same jutsu. obito was using that jutsu and not adding the ninjutsu canceling feature. Now he may have been able to, he may have only used that feature on Sarutobi, but likely he couldnt use it until he had juubi under control and then had that ability, hence him starting to use it after that point. Who cares anyway all the 3rd does is get owned by everybody hes worthless as a Kage

ok everyones saying obito wasnt in control when he attacked hiruzen so therefore hiruzen should be alive.

hiruzen had no kyuubi chakra, which means he was in that blast.
