Yes Lionfist is Op, people seem to forget that the Hyuga are best when it comes to controlling chakra, they can manipulate their tenketsu from every part of their body. It's nice to know that lionfist does not only increase the shape & form increase mid range destructive attack and or block all the chakras point but also sap all the chakra to whom when he/she touch.

However I believe Katien (Heavenly rotation) is stronger than Lionfist due to excessively expel chakra from all 361 tenketsu covering the space within the field of vision surrounding the user allowing them to fully utilize chakra, kaiten is known to be the strongest defence. Neji was able to successfully master Kaiten that only the Main family can do and there's a reason why he is considered a true genius of the Hyuga clan.

I was wondering if other people have said that 64 palms is harder to learn than lion fists (for Hinata anyway). Why would she have had trouble connecting all the hits otherwise whereas she could learn the lion fists with ease? I guess the 'step itself' in the 64 hits is to blame, but it implies that the lion fists is more an exercise in pure chakra control that does not require confidence as Neji had. Then again, would the lion fists be necessary if you can land all 64 hits? Perhaps its a main branch technique? Or perhaps I'm just overthinking this as every 'versus' thread inevitably makes one do?

its a secretive main branch technique
there is very less chance dat neji would have even tried to learn it :|

I don't see how this turned into a battle of Neji vs Hinata. Neji didn't/wasn't shown to learn/use the technique, case closed. Anything else is speculation.
Its Damage control, this whole main family argument is silly, since Neji learned Rotation a main family technique.
