It's war. They're soldiers. They're not supposed to get distracted by death. His death was a shinobi's death. Not much she could have done. I am pretty sure she felt sad but with the conform of Naruto, she felt less sad and more protected. These questions are retarded. And your spelling it godawful.

I think people need to get it through their heads that the comment was made after her and Naruto and accepted and decided to honor neji's death. Otherwise, might as well bash Naruto for smiling at Hinata after Neji died, might as well bash Gai for goofing off after neji's death, might as well bash tenten off for cursing Neji when he died.

Because they had about a panel.
Tenten is barely a character btw.
Okay... Why should that matter? Inverse... It would mean they don't care... According to the logic most people are using to bash Hinata. Despite the fact that in "regrets" we see her with a saddened expression over neji's death. Yes, I will admit that the comment was out of place... But to try and use that as an excuse to say she doesn't care for Neji is idiotic... She cried for him, her body was even shaking, and completely understood his will for dying as he did ; which Naruto and lee did not at first.d

I did not say she did not care, i just hate that hand comment.
Hiashi was sorry for his death as he apoligized to his brother in his thoughts, and Gai encouraged Lee to move forward to keep Neji's memories alive. He can not have luxury to break down. Tenten...does she even matter?
None of those characters fawned over someone or had lowly comments like Hinata did. That's the thing.

Btw you are trying to bring Naruto and Lee down to make Hinata look beter from another aspect by twisting the meaning of their reactions. Lee did not even saw how or why he died btw. All he saw was Neji being dead.

We have to consider Neji's feelings about his own death and how he felt like he was making a positive choice instead of having his life robbed from him. He stated that Naruto held his life in his hands as well as so many others, including Hinata's. Neji did not regret death, so why should Hinata act like his last action as a living being was not positive?!?! We have to consider the fact that this whole thing is a story, so the ways that meaning and character development are dealt with are a bit different than reality. It has been three of our years since the war started, three whole years of no real breaks, no real laughing at the ramen stand, no real joy of the Konoha 9 bantering and playing, no sexy jutsu with Konohamaru, etc. So if we as readers have a situation with no opportunity to bring about elements of love, joy, comradery, and general growth of the characters on their more human sides because we are trapped within a war setting for so long then there will probably be odd seeming situations, like love growing deeper on the battlefield. When Naruto is fighting and feels his way of ninja being lost, Hinata is there to help him realize how strong he is ( when Naruto fought Nagato ) is that not the same thing Naruto has done for her?!? Also, if her life is in his hands, then it is appropriate for her to comment on his hand as a literary trope. She has always seen Naruto for something amazing, she sees what others only see later and so for her to acknowledge that his hand is big ( big enough to carry the hopes for all of their world!) it might be a metaphor. As far as grotesque goes, Shigurui or Gantz or Berserk might be more apt examples of something that is grotesque, transgressive and terrifying...Naruto is like all cutesy stuff..
