Here's my take on this:
the only part of Hinata's clothing that is purple that would be near her elbow is the part of clothing worn on her chest and core. The chances of the sword passing through this part of the clothing and not piercing any part of her body is slim to none.

Until this point, only the fact she whispered something to naruto, which proves she's still alive, we just don't know for how much time more or if she'll be saved definitively until completely healed from these wounds, ...and she was indeed stabbed, already proved that.
The spoilers we have until now is too vague, so we'll just know the conclusion of this story on the next issues (438 or even at 439 or 440). But as far we know, she's still officially alive.

i want this theory to be true, hinata shouldnt die at this point! She only just confessed, it would be sooo lame if she was to die now!
of course shes alive!! i never doubted this..
theres enough of proof throughout both the manga and the anime,and i mean from the first minute you saw the anime and read the manga you understand how important of a person she is. hinata lives on!! :3

I wonder how large six tails is right now, cuz it looks like he's (kyuubi) large sufficient to grab hinata on it's skeletal hands (which looks like have the same size of hinata) - hey, isn't that the purpose of the skeletal hands (to grab someone without damaging him/her with kyuubi's poisonous chakra? Just a crazy tough.
