Me For: I think Nagato knows how Konan feels about him. And Nagato could see Hinata as being Naruto's "Konan"... so Pain wouldn't kill her... but use that in order to draw out the 9-Tails. Once the 9-Tails power is used, and Pain wins, Naruto would not be a threat no matter what.

I just logged on to post about that . good job beating me to it.

I hope that this is the case. I'd like to say that Hinata's too important of a character to die, but she really isn't. (In terms of importance to the story line) But I'd love to see her and Naruto get together, as she reminds me of my GF. However, I don't see it happening any time soon, even if she lives. (which I think she will.)

That picture is probably colored wrong on the fact that it is showing Pein's blade currently piercing something. That panel shows his blade after he pulled it out of whoever's blood that is.

If Hinata is pierced by Pein's antenna... and she can see chakra flow... could she point out where Nagato is to Naruto? We haven't seen what happens to a Hyuuga when stabbed with that antenna yet.

I have a thought on how this is going to turn around.

I think that Pain realizes that his time is up and he wont actually catch Naruto, Even if he succeeded, he would not have been able to make it out and continue, his body is too busted.

So what I suggested is that he have planted a seed in Naruto's head about his (Pains) perspective of peace, and to try and change Naruto's way of thinking. By pretending, to kill Hinata and destroying the village, he wanted to show him how he (Pain) felt for losing all the people close to him, thus aggravating him into using the foxes power. Just to tell him, that he(Naruto) is no different from Pain.

I still wondered and couldnt understand why Pain took the liberty to explain and talk to Naruto if he just wanted to get the fox and let him die in the proses? What is his motive?

I dont think that he is over confident and thinks he is going to get the Kyuubi with only God realm left? He knows Naruto have the kyuubi and have the ability to use it and give some serious @ss whooping, so what is the point in trying to get him to use the Kyuubi? My reason to that Question is the above.

I was wondering this too...

1. Pein didn't expect Naruto to arrive when he obliterrated Konoha.
2. Pein didn't expect Naruto to be this strong without using the Kyuubi.
3. Pein needs the Jinchurriki to use the Bijuu's powers so that they are completely drained... like Gara... and thus unable to fight back.
4. Pein is down to 1 body, and without much more chakra, he will not be able to stand up against Naruto/Kyuubi.

So your idea does make sense. Nagato is only trying to reason with Naruto at this point, and to help him grow up some, play some Itachi mind tricks on him.

1. Its funny that Pein is quoting things that Jiraiya said to Naruto during his training... do you think that Nagato has already "absorbed" Jiraiya's memories? Is that how Pein knew the best way to invade Konoha? Through the sky?

2. It is too soon for "God" to die in the series, Pein will be around for a while longer.

Hmm I think Pein fully expected to see Naruto and capture him after wearing him down even in Kyuubi form. He's probably prepared something designed to deal with his Bijuu directly. So I think leonmccash is right on the money when he says Pein isn't dying off yet.

Also that is totally possible for Hinata to see where Nagato's chakra is coming from, but whether she had time to figure out that (the chakra she was seeing and where it was coming from) important information was indeed important. She may have been knocked out/killed before realizing that she could help Naruto in a non meat-shield kind of way...

My opinion, considering the theory of pain being touched by hinata's declaration, is that he wasn't expecting the kyuubi to appear, just wanted naruto's to fell pain, but he's also not scared. The question now is: "Is nagato able to understang such a word (love)?" ... "Doesn't he think it's just a generator of hatred?" ...
Still, there are more key factors scattered on the whole chapter with a lot of hidden answers for our questions.

Well I was reading chapter 437 and something struck my eye look at this picture so took some notes and put some pictures together and i found that Hinata is alive!

now the last question remains is, why is pein doing this has he finnally truelly understood one another after seeing Hinata's confession about protecting him even if it meant giving her own life! now arent these words familiar look at this picture its what nagato says:

lol, yes my real life preference is for sure someone like hinata. But even sakura have her advantages (it's called personality). All together, I don't think hinata was developed like she was for nothing, so don't worry. By the, through furter analysis, the theory shown here is 90% true, but still the results are the same (thanks god I'm near a forensics detective)... if only I had at least some paint abilities to show it...

Great observation, but I'm Still not convinced; This is all basically based on if the colored pic is right; the Pic is Fan Colored, Its not 100% accurate; It could be that the purple coloring could be miss colored; and a folks I hate to brake it to you all but, If the picture is colored right, look at where the blade is stuck in, a Purple Vest!!!! Thats what Hinata wears right? now correct me if I'm wrong but The Akatsuki wear Black robes right? so if its stuck in a purple vest and Pain broke off the rest of the blade then wont that mean that he in fact did stab Hinata? :headband:

Actually dude if you look at the picture it clearly points out that the part in the top Left is Hinata's elbow; so if Hinata's elbow is situated Horizontally and her purple vest is situated vertically then the Blade broken off would have to be in her Stomach, meaning that it would be EXTREMELY difficult to miss a vital organ if it's in her stomach. :headband:
