Which is completely ripped apart by the manga. I am sorry, but this statement is noncanon like those Kage Bushins he is able to make at 7 or rescue Hinata, when he didn't even notice her before she started interacting with him. Kinda lame, if you ask me that PS had to go completely against the manga to make this pairing relevant and canon.

There's nothing in the manga that confirms that Naruto's feelings for Sakura was anything more than a childish crush.

It was still just a crush. Besides its not like Kishi put him and Hinata together right after the war. Two years passed . Two years! Don't forget Naruto is only a 16 year old. How long did your crushes last at that age? Am glad Kishi didnt go for the unrealistic everlasting love route where a guy only loves a single woman for the rest of his life. It doesn't work that way in real life. People move on and develop feelings for someone else, like Naruto did.
