@Keimil: I could've sworn that she ws being controlled inn the other pics.. Doesn't matter. As @Avinash012 said: Speed doesn't automatically make you the better taijutsu user. And Hinata's speed would be able to at least keep up with her.. You can't denie it. Hinata is the better Taijutsu user.

(Don't get me wrong you need speed to be a good taijutsu user, just not all the time) In this case Hinata.

She only needs few; and as a ninja she has more than 1 kunais.

Or put Hinata in sleep with a smoke bomb.

She does not have to go "hand to hand" with Hinata btw.

I can't see much prob with Kunais here.Hinata is skilled enough to protect herself while saving Naruto from Juubis wood spam.

As if Hinata is going to stand there and watch Sakura while she is pulling smoke bombs,she attacks her with airpalm and same'll happen even if Sakura tries to jump.Sakura ain't faster than Juubis wood spikes.

Atleast not when the difference in speed is so small. Hinata is quick with her gentle fist, Sakura on the other hand, hits with incredible power but her speed is is considerably lower. Go look in the manga.

Sakura is faster, proved by feats and the Databook, Hinata has 2.5 level and Sakura 3, simple comparison.
However is true that Hinata is better at Taijutsu, she has a 3.5 level and Sakura just 3.
But this just isn't enough, Sakura is smarter, to know how to exploit better the intel she gather from her opponent, proved by feats in the manga, and the fact that at the age of 16 she is already a level 4 in Intelligence.

And the fact that she has a one-hit-KO attack, such as CES, defines it, one single attack from Sakura will decide this match, one signle mistake or a single successful strategy will give Sakura the victory.
This doesn't apply for Hinata, her attacks makes damage but they don't kill at the first shot, giving the chance to Sakura to heal herself.

I don't know about a whirpool, but a giant water explosion sounds pretty possible since she has this level of power:
