I doubt Hinata has any direct connection to her. The possibility of the hyuga on a whole having connections via byakugan to her could happen.

We should more believe she has a connection to Kimmaro's clan.

Even if she did have byakugan it's not doing anything for Hinata that is putting her on a level very high from what she currently is without it seeming like a gigantic pull. I only see us finding out she potentially has byakugan to show a little history nothing more.

Yes, however all of those people had buildup before getting a powerup and after they received it, it was explained how they attained it. There were even hints beforehand. So it wasn't really an asspull. The only one out of those three that actually got something ridiculous was Minato when he showed BM w/o training for it. That and Madara used susanno w/o any eyes in his head. :/
