We've seen these threads countless times, and Sakura's always had the feat advantage due to having more time dedicated to explaining what her abilities were and what it could do while Hinata's signature move, twin lion fists, were never used on panel. Now, we actually have a DB entry dedicated to what it does.
It's a shape transformation of chakra that greatly increases the reach and destructive power. Basically, this means it's gentle fist on steroids.
However, here's the catch. The arms are shaped like lions that drain the chakra network of those they touch. So it both messes up organs, and rips out the victim's chakra out of their chakra network. Take into consideration she can use it with 64 palms, this can be pretty haxed in CQB.
Thread that revealed this.
CONDITIONS: Hinata can use Twin Lion fists and 64 palms like she said she could in the manga. Summoning is restricted. I want this to be a straight taijutsu fight. Edit: starting distance, 10m.
My thoughts:
Hinata wins because it's the perfect counter to the yin seal.
1. Regeneration requires a lot of chakra by itself. It can run out fairly quickly if abused as seen with Tsunade. Considering that Hinata's gentle step is an upgraded version of heavily damaging organs and takes rips away chakra from the chakra networks in addition, the drain is that much more heavy. With 64 palms, Hinata has incredibly fast striking speed, and could quickly take out the yin seal's reserves in chakra.
2. Sakura's physical strength isn't actually that impressive. She simply uses chakra-enhanced strength, which is storing chakra into her fists and releasing it as an explosion. Going by the DB description, if lion fist and CE strength collided, the chakra stored up would be sucked out, making it just a normal fist as opposed to Hinata's powerful gentle fist attack.
3. The pet-favorite Sakura argument about slamming the ground does not hold water. It can be intercepted by air palm.
