Let's see how Goku, Vegeta, Bulma and Chichi are a good comparison and a precedent for Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Hinata.

A. Naruto = Goku.
1. A main male character.
2. Goofy, clueless, never giving up, always the one to save the day when truly needed.
3. An orphan.
4. A survivor of a once-mighty group that got destroyed (Uzumaki/Saiyan).
5. Trained by a world-famous super-strong pervert (Jiraiya/Roshi).
6. Learns his teacher's trademark attack (Rasengan/Kamehameha).
7. Has a secret animalistic ability that gets eventually mastered (Kyuubi/Oozaru, Goku tamed the Golden Oozaru to become SSJ4).

3. An avenger of his destroyed clan/race (Uchiha/Saiyan).
4. Misguided about who actually killed them (Itachi, when it rather was Danzo's idea and Obito's help/initially thought it was an asteroid), but then hated and avenged or tried avenging the true villain (killed Danzo, now came to avenge Itachi/tried killing Frieza, unsuccessfully).
5. Pretended to be under some villain's rule, only to betray him later on (killed Orochimaru/only joined Babidi for power to fight Goku, but tried killing Buu later on).
6. Was the main guy's enemy/rival/friend, in either order (both ended up as rivals & friends so far).

C. Sakura = Bulma.
1. A main female character (Bulma was in DB).
2. Officially book-smart (best student/outright genius).
3. Noisy and brash, far from being polite, has a "normal" family.
4. A weak fighter (kept being fight-useless until well into the series/never was a fighter).
5. Fell in love with the main guy's rival (initially fell for Sasuke/eventually, some time after Vegeta was introduced).
6. Kept loving him despite him being an enemy (still shows signs of loving Sasuke/fell in love when Vegeta was still untrustworthy).
7. (UPDATED) Actually, MARRIES that guy!

D. Hinata = Chichi.
1. A major secondary female character (has equal importance to Bulma in DBZ, both becoming rather secondary).
2. Very polite, slightly shy, easily blushing (young Chichi is).
3. A princess of sorts (a clan heir/literally, Ox King's daughter).
4. A somewhat good fighter for a female (at least trained in Juuken, which is a strong style/managed to actually fight Goku).
5. Has a childhood crush on the main guy, which he's oblivious to (same for both).
6. Confesses her feelings during an important arc/event (Pain fight/tournament involving Piccolo).
