Himawari is overrated?

But the very fact that she will never receive screentime is pretty much crapping on all her potential, no? The anime might give her little screentime but the manga so far didn't even focus on her for once( outside of the Boruto Movie arc.).

I wouldn’t say never. We have no idea where she will be during the timeskip.

The most serious discussion involving Himawari was when they visited the Hyuga household and it was mentioned she awakened the Byakugan while so young albeit that one time.

Unfortunately they haven’t touched anymore on this at the present. Now that Boruto’s group are Genin, the next group of acedemy students may feature Himawari in the roster. For this however something will need to happen that hits close to home. Possibly her mom being hurt by Momo will give her the desire to want to protect her family.

If she does become an academy student, then the hype and potential might be realized...which would be awesome, but I wouldn’t expect her to overshadow Boruto as the focus is mainly on him.

Right now she is just a happy go lucky kid with no real desire to be a ninja.

So apparently a 3 year old Himawari can't be hyped on potential alone for doing something no other Hyuga has done against a top tier Jin like Naruto but a kid Hanabi vs a kid Hinata who where both pre academy can be wanked as something significant for present day Hanabi even though no actual GF moves were used in that spout, let alone the fact that it was decades ago.

If you replace the other parts of your statement with Hanabi, it is pretty much the same thing but even worse.

Hanabi is overrated?

She has no feats except for beating child Hinata.
She doesn't get any development in the anime either and manga doesn't use her at all.

Of course she is. They could have gone in any direction with Naruto's second kid but a boring fuggly little girl with a brother complex whose only feat is a comedic one shot is kind of unfortunate. I wish she actually had a good design and not like a lazy Photoshop taking Naruto's face and the worst version of Hinata's hair and putting them together.
