Himawari is overrated?

She doesn't get any development in the anime either and manga doesn't use her at all.

No rational thought? You said she was overrated, I stated a reason why I believe otherwise. Most people are interested in her potential, not current ability. I don't see how that's overrated. If she could Gentle Fist Naruto at such a young age and the hit affects Kurama along with other speculation concerning her heritage, you should understand why people are excited about her

But the very fact that she will never receive screentime is pretty much crapping on all her potential, no? The anime might give her little screentime but the manga so far didn't even focus on her for once( outside of the Boruto Movie arc.).

Yeah that's why I said 'Post Timeskip' Hima. The manga is barely focusing on anyone that isn't a member of Konohamaru's team. I'm just holding out hope that the other characters who don't get any attention will be developed during the timeskip à la Part 2 Sakura. Part 1 Sakura was basically useless (no hate) but in Part 2 she had grown a lot both character and ability wise. This has also been foreshadowed in the anime if I recall correctly with Hiashi suggesting Hima's sent to train with him at some point or something along that line

I think Himawari has shown something completely unprecedented to wipe Naruto on the floor . Naruto was incapacitated for the whole day which speaks volume because no other hyuga has shown to posses such great degree caliber of the Jyuuken. Whether Naruto defend or not that's not really the whole point since he wasn't able to recuperate from that blow unlike the instances with Neji.

OT : That insane feat she pulled off is all she needs honestly. Those that are salty will say it's "comic-relief".
Fact is, Naruto was fully aware of Himawari's Byakugan and tried to stop the attack, however Himawari was too fast and beat Naruto's reaction time. Thus Naruto along with Kurama got knocked out cold for an entire day.

As for screen time, I've said this multiple times. The writers are severely limiting the amount of panel time she gets. They are smart by doing this, otherwise Himawari will steal the spot light of Boruto and Co. They're trying to milk the series as much as possible and they can't do that if Himawari solos all of the villains.

If anything she is quite underrated.

I will never forgive the writers for ruining a long expected moment of my childhood turned into comic relief.
