higher resolution on picture album?

I was wondering if there was any chance to upgrade the resolution of our albums to a higher res, 1600*1200 preferbly.

Yeah true,but I doubt its possible,that size is huge and would take a lot of place on the server,so the site might go a bit slower :/

Not only that, I don't really see the reason as well. Profile Albums are ment for customization of your profile. However, your profile doesn't need 1600*1200 pictures because it's only ~ 980 pixels..

Yeah but it also depends on the resolution of your screen aint it?
Cuz when I upload a big pic and put it as background its not enough :/

Well the reason i made this thread is becuz i collect wallpapers and since my screen is 1600*1200 i thought it would be cool if everybody can upload larger pics so we can share the wallpapers we find on the net.
doesnt even have to be limited to 1600*1200, could be bigger

and i kinda figured it would slow down the surver, but i just had to ask
i'm taking this as a no then?
